Aye I don't think we'll look to sell Sissoko in January. Wasn't it reported that we've offered him a 1 year extension with a pay rise so we can get a good fee for him after the Euro's?
-
Must be bull shit, as If that would require any consideration It would as he's the only player currently at the club who is remotely physically capable of doing the job of a defensive midfielder without a running partner to cover for lack of ability to cover ground quickly. It's a good fee though, and we must be hoping that Saivet will provide the same qualities once he's sold. Aye but him actually being in the side requires another defensive midfielder to cover all the times he gives the ball away in dangerous areas. He really is a unbelievable liability in the majority of games.
-
We're considering?, what the fuck are we considering, how to spend the ill gotten gains? He isn't even first team as it is when everyone's fit and that's before Saivet arrived let along Shelvey.
-
They did have some inside info in the Freddy Shepherd days like, no doubt about that, they were very reliable back then for transfer news. But ever since Ashley came in they know nowt more than we do.
-
Don't think Shelvey seems much like a Carr inspired signing, seems like McClaren will have had a big say in this one.
-
He's pretty quick apparently, looked quick in the game I saw as well.
-
Probably not on that high of a wage either, nowt wrong with a 5 year contract for a 24 year old.
-
Oh aye that's what they use. Think it even mentions "powered by Football Manager" at the start
-
How many times has he faced Coloccini and how many has he scored? He's scored none against us in 8 matches, not sure how many Coloccini played I'll still be worried if he manages to stay fit another 5 days, but still he's hardly proved to be a great threat against us.
-
Aye but we're hoping this lad can actually play in central midfield!
-
None of the previous 3 have shown any leadership, neither has Coloccini of course. At least this lad seems to shout orders and try to organise from what I've seen. I've seen the sum total of one game like but its still more leadership shown in one game than Coloccini has shown all season. However, Siem and Gini were lauded for their captaincy and leadership. I recall Hilton being the guy at Montpellier who shouted the most fwiw. They certainly haven't brought that leadership here if they ever showed it elsewhere. Lets hope that once he's settled in this lad shows some balls and opens his mouth to let the rest know when they're not doing enough.
-
Not sure about West Ham like, they were great earlier in the season but recently they've been poor away from home. Thought they looked more toothless than us against Swansea. Perhaps they've got players back now, but either way I see that as a winnable game.

They've changed it to 1990 now like.
-
Uh oh here comes the old age rumours
-
Paedos do less time than that. Some of them just get stuck playing for Sunderland instead, cruel and unusual punishment.
-
Don't know, but Saivet/Shelvey looks far better than Colback/Anita or Colback/Tiote, thats for sure.
-
To be honest first of all we're in desperate need of a central midfield that isn't completely non existent. If we can actually challenge the opposition in midfield we might have a chance of creating more. Also would help if we didn't miss all the chances we do create, at least three clear cut chances against Arsenal we fluffed, and how many did we waste against Aston Villa. We need someone up front we can rely on now and bring Mitrovic in when their's less pressure.
-
Normally they compare the incoming players to the players they might replace at the club. I was looking forward to seeing Colback's amazing stats!
-
Think even that total is optimistic imo. Those are not easy at all, if we get two points I would be amazed. Amazed?!? 2 draws from 5 games and you'd be amazed? Honestly. From those fixtures, they way we are playing ,yep amazed.... Honestly . 4 defeats and maybe 1 draw is the way i read those , unless we are signing massively, and they hit the ground running. We are s*** mate..have you not noticed?? You must have been taken off in a ambulance after the Tottenham game Seriously, you can't predict this stuff. We're shit but those 5 fixtures are hardly super tough, they're easier than our last 5 that's for sure and we could easily end up winning one or even a couple. it would take about 8 or 9 points from those 5 to amaze me like
-
I think the opposite about Man U actually. I think they'll beat us easy because they won't give us the chance to hit them on the counter which seems our game now. We didn't play like that at all against Arsenal.
-
Also has Shelvey as already being a NUFC player yet a possible signing Then goes on to explain how we'll spend £16.5m of our £15m budget on Shelvey and Saivet.
-
Just for your amusement: Think the Newcastle game remains the game where we've had the most shots, most shots on target and probably most possession. It was an annihilation without the goals, which leads us to where we are now. Absolutely off his fucking tits like
-
Have you seen him at all in that midfield role?
-
Watched the Liverpool v Bordeaux game from a couple of months ago and that's one of the things that stood out to me. He was always putting himself in a position to receive the ball and then every time looking forward with his passes, most of the time very precise passes as well. Also did plenty of shouting and organising from that defensive midfield position. Had a brilliant game, even scored a cracking goal, but I've only seen that one game so
