He doesn't do anything, just sort of almost does.

Unreal isn't it?, he's fucking awful.

Hope Man City get 11 injuries and can barely put a fucking team out in the Champions League!

I doubt we'll stay up with 7 as that means 35 points and would mean Norwich only need a win and a couple of draws or two wins for the mackems. I actually think the mackems could easily take seven or eight points from their games and will finish ahead of Norwich (I really wanted a draw between them at the weekend) so I think we need ten points to put them both under pressure and give ourselves a fighting chance. Three wins and a draw from somewhere. Anything less and I wouldn't like to put too much money on us staying up. I doubt it as well, that's to give us the slimmest of chances IMO. To have a really good chance I think we need 10. If Sunderland get 7 or 8 points from their remaining fixtures they'll have done incredibly well, certainly don't see it being easy though, far from it. They certainly don't have two games left as winnable as Palace at home and Villa away.

Personally think we need 7 more points to have any chance at all of staying up, given the fixtures Sunderland and Norwich have left. Would be amazing if we could get 3 of those points tonight.

So? So it's hardly worth getting excited about such a pedestrian performance. We were not good by any means. What were you expecting? Us to turn into Barcelona and systematically destroy Swansea from start to finish? We won 3-0, we didn't have it handed to us, we worked hard and took our chances. Why should it have been different? Are we the only team that has to be perfect to deserve to win?

Have I lost the plot or did I just hear the Soccer Saturday lot say Sunderlands fixtures look easier than ours? I'm not saying we don't have hard fixtures and of course we're quite shit but just looking at it fixture for fixture our run is definitdly the easier looking.

Kaboul dragging Mbokani down was a pen as well IMO.
-
There have been some nervy moments at the back for Sunderland. Two biggest differences are they don't completely shit themselves and they can defend set pieces. Norwich should have had a pen as well IMO, and Sunderland's second goal was a foul.
-
I think they've looked light years ahead of us in overall application, from start to finish they've worked hard, not just started to play at half time. But quality wise they've still been denk.
-
But him being capable of it doesn't matter when he never provides it anymore and instead just stops our attacks. Well for everyone's sake I hope he proves everyone wrong and is MOTM. Hope so, like others have said Rafa's focus seems to be on total defence and hope Cisse can nick a goal. Perhaps until half time (as we've been better in second halfs for a while now for some reason) with some big changes to try to force a win later in the game if we aren't ahead (hence all options on the bench being attacking).
-
Would be more humiliating to want them to lose, confirming our own relegation, just so they go down as well. IMO anyway.
-
I'm sick of seeing him in the side no matter what he is. If he's not invisible he's passing the ball to the opposition or running into the opposition. He constantly breaks moves down and gives us no chance of playing, he's like some kind of midfield destroyer for the opposition or something.
-
Don't fall for it Rafa, drop the fucking bell end. Maybe coming on from the bench will improve him..
-
If Sunderland somehow get a result today they'd still have a hell of a job getting enough points against Arsenal, Stoke (a), Chelsea, Everton, Watford (a) to get ahead of Norwich. So its hardly a definite they'd stay up anyway. I'd rather get a last chance for todays game then worry about them at this stage.
-
Well this is last chance saloon, drop all the shit and give us a chance of getting a win please. On Norwich/Sunderland. Got to be either a draw or Sunderland win for me. A Sunderland win gives us the chance, however slim, of being on level points with Norwich and ahead of Sunderland by Tuesday next week (technically could even be out of the relegation zone). I'll take that chance, again no matter how incredibly unlikely we are to take advantage of it, ahead of wishing for results to bring Sunderland down with us.

True, weve been spending 80M every season since Ashley took over. On English players I don't see the 80m panic spend as a policy change per se. The funds available and transfer policy aren't the same thing. We're still going for the same deals that don't address the imbalance the team. Fed up of hearing about this 80m. It'll be chump change in a few years within the prem and the club makes significant profits each year. The English players thing; I was impressed by the Shelvey signing and Townsend has a goal in him, don't really care about English players though and that seems to be the reason they were signed over needs elsewhere. I get the policy change argument; but McClaren still had little say and acquisitions were still based on Carrs little list of favours and ultimately have been our downfall this season. It's hardly been a case of but things have been so different? How did it go so wrong? Don't think anyone believes our transfer policy has altered beyond all recognition, just that their have been obvious changes, and their have been. Unfortunately the biggest similarity to previous windows is still there. Which is leaving too many glaring gaps in the side.
