  1. It would be fantastic if Fergie came in with a £10m bid for Owen.

    Fantastic for Man Utd.

If they could get him on the pitch, which would take a miracle.

He'll play a lot for us this season I reckon.

I'd wager he won't play 25 full league games, probably not even 20.

  2. Fergie isnt stupid enough to buy a striker who will be lucky to play 20 games this season, especially after signing Tevez.

who is a pretty good replacement for Rooney, as well. You're right, why on earth would he shell out big money when he has a replacement lined up?

Owen is unlikely to go anywhere. Not because he wants to be with us, btu because no big clubs want him. and England NEED him even more now, with Rooney out, and Freakbiy injured.

  3. So NE5 would rather believe the cockney twats than our chairman and manager.

You don't know any more than he does tbh

No, but I don't believe Mort was lying when he said this had been done as a response to dodgy behaviour on their part.

    yeah, lawyers never lie.

What sort of response is upping the price?? in my book, either fucking childish, or stupid. Pull the deal, fair enough, but to turn round and go "nah, we want more now"...that sounds more like a group of people too used to getting their own way, not good business sense.

I don't think Ahsley is stupid, not by a long chalk, but i think what he did on taht occasion was very stupid.

Yeah, and you don't know what happened either, but go ahead and believe Magnusson/Curbishley and the cockneys rather than our people, if that makes you feel good.

"our people" - yes, mate, they are NUFC peple, so they MUST be more trustworthy than ANYONE else, definately. how foolish of me for not seeing that before. I fele such a fool for forgetting that anyone connected to this club is immediatley trustworthy.

I feel such a fool for imagining you might ever take anything but the most negative possible view.

Honest, not negative. What we did was fucking stupid, that was bloody obvious even to someone like you, surely?

  4. please no - no better than what we have, will just be an expensive squad player!

If SOlano goes, name our better rb. And if you say Carr, you will be showing your ignorance of Newcastle United, never mind any other teams in the premiership.

  6. With Rooney injured, Crouch suspended and Owen not fit, should Smithy get a start upfront for England in the Euro qualfiers?

Why will Owen not be fit by then?

And will Johnson be? i thought he was fucked again.

  7. Surely he means in the stadium, fan-wise?

    Or media-wise after the game?

Or by us taking their manager and a massive chunk of their backroom staff?

i don't know what he means. and media wise? Nah, i don't think so. Fan-wise, yes, we made some noise, but thats bound to happen with that scoreline.

  8. I don't think it's that biased, just reflecting obvious pride and satisfaction at a job well done. Bolton stuffed on the pitch, off the pitch, and probably far into the distant future.

off the pitch?? You're reading a bit much into one game, no?

  10. He will disrupt the harmony of the current squad so no thanks. Furthermore, i don't see him as a player that puts in everything for the team like barton or smith.

    or parker?

  11. I am very optimistic for a change. I am however quite pessimistic about the new wood floors in my house, my missus is stomping around like a fucking elephant. She'll have shot knees at 25.

    get her some Heelies.

  12. i know its not good for England (although i think we'll manage, despite the double whammy of missing him AND having that back-combed wanker as manager), i can't be the only one who sniggered when he hobbled off.

Do any monkeys have brittle bones? Because whichever lab spliced human and simian DNA to make the wonderkid must have used the wrong ape.

  13. I think Dyer and Solano going should be seen as an opportunity for the club. Solano has been a really good player for us but he can't have many seasons left in him (I doubt he'd have been given a new contract  - even a 12 month one - next season) and Dyer is one of those players who never really has been a consistent performer (and he is no longer a kid). If getting these two off the wage bill and generating cash sees a new, hungry player or two arrive then I'll be happy enough.

Yeah, especially in the case of Dyer. I'd have snapped that £6 million out of West Ham's hands so quickly and brutally that they couldn't w*** again, personally.

me too. Its about double what he's worth, and what we dod was f****** stupid.

I was happy with £5m but hopefully Curbishley's stupid enough to give us £7m for Solano and Dyer which will get the deal done.

i'd take £5m for the pair of them.

Not so sure about that like... I mean, yeah, given the circumstances £5m would seem reasonable... But, you know... we'd look a little bit silly ditching both of them for a lower fee than West Ham bid for one of them.

fuck looking silly, we looked like a proper cunt for doing the "ooh, now its 7m for Dyer" thing last time.

things change, we can do without Dyer and we needed a new RB anyway, so lets just crack on and get rid.

  14. Touché. Until he fucks up here though I think he's worth the faith, I rate him as a player.

As a player he's always been decent (bar the yellow cards, natch). If he can develop as he is supposed to be able to, he'll be a bargain. If not, it'll have been worth a try. But it's naive of us to trot out the "he's changed/he's not as bad as [insert bad boy player name here]" just because he plays for us.

Support the team, support the players, support the club. But be honest. That's just the way i like to do my football.

  15. It's natural for fans to do that. He wears our colours now, people hope for the best. Given his limited time here people are giving him the benefit of the doubt (if there is any...) just now.

people are stating his Road To Damascus conversion as fact, which i think is setting us up for a fall, is all i'm geting at.
