  1. It doesn't explain why the other two were either, given they're not the PIF
  2. Does this not all just end with Bielsa being appointed, having a heart-to-heart with Gordon as one of his first orders of business, and Gordon being key to them (sadly) staying up again? Given he was apparently worried about their lack of pace, Gordon would surely be the last player he'd want to lose? On the other side of the coin, the sooner Bielsa's in the better as either (a) he agrees to sell Gordon to raise funds to get in multiple players he actually wants or (b) he persuades him to stay and we have time to get another target signed.
  3. Oh no, definitely not. "Here to compete", etc.
  4. Massive sponsorship deal and the green light for a late window spending spree, please.
  5. If you were the buying club, wouldn't you always want the player you're after pulling this sort of stunt? Seems like it's become a staple part of the playbook when a buying club/player/agent feels the selling club is taking the piss on price or isn't doing what it says it would do.
  6. Well this is a bit wank, innit?
  7. He's clearly just desperate to join Eddie's stonewalling Mags. Makes me like him a bit more, tbh.
  8. Aye, that's what I meant though. Came across as a sort of "how can it be between me and him?!", to me. Bielsa and Dyche couldn't be more polar opposite.
  9. Seems like he'll be here until after the second leg, based on the comments of Hull's chairman.

    Joelinton

    £43k wasn't it?

    Dan Burn

I love him, but howay. He's easily been the poorest of the back five.
  12. Remember when Emery was moaning about being lumped in with Eddie Howe? How must Bielsa feel?
  13. Been quite a while since Chelsea signed anyone. Getting a bit concerned for them.
  14. I'd go with that, too, especially given that I think last night was the first overall performance that has given Howe a reason to change things up. We weren't even that bad, but it was incredibly scrappy in points and we had lost control by the time of the substitutions.
  15. Gallagher's better than Sleepy Joe, like.
  16. You wouldn't pick Gallagher ahead of Longstaff? Or Willock?
  17. He played an inverse game to Trippier, who I thought had a cracking first half and a poor second. Bruno was poor, by his own high standards, in the first half but definitely grew into it and improved later on. He seems to need a bit of rattling to produce his best sometimes, think Alcaraz and Lyanco getting into him did us no harm at all. I was somewhat tongue-in-cheek about it being Matteo's fault, but I don't think he's produced a truly world-class performance for some time now.
  18. Poor statting from Mozo Football here, like. If it's not per 90, it's not up to much. Miggy's played 573 more minutes than Gordon, which is over six full games more. Not sure why it's particularly relevant, but WhoScored has Miggy at 1.8 tackles per game and 0.4 interceptions, with Gordon at 2.1 tackles and 0.3. This is also Miggy at his absolute peak, and I don't think anyone's arguing Gordon's having a good season.
  19. League Cup Final () and Man Utd home to add to that, as well, surely? Not sure Brentford (a) will make the cut, mind, which would break the streak at 16. We're bigger than 1,000,000 Dan Burns.
  20. God, Chiesa would be amazing. Thought he'd stay at Juve forever.
