Full heel turn completed. Get in the fucking sea Greg.

The new Weghorst.
-
Contracted until 2027, too, which is a massive factor.
-
So fair to say the bid is £50M based on all the reports, Hope is the only one saying not as much as £45M. That would take us to £107M for the window, subbing Targett's loan fee from his total.

Do Penn next.

Speaking of massive whoppers and least favourite things
-
Nottingham is probably my least favourite city in England and I've never met a Forest fan that wasn't a massive whopper.
-
Done. You love a good survey.

It'll be 5 soon like

Aye, seems so! A solid 6,000+ pages of transfer rumour goodness.
-
I knew you'd like this one, you miserable fuck.

Previous thread ended here (https://newcastle-online.org/topic/37149-more-transfer-rumours/?do=findComment&comment=7233437) with us on the cusp of pulling off both Maddison and Werner and getting sticky hands. (Special thanks to @Kid Icarusfor the title, which will surely become a staple.)

It’s almost as if we’re being run by people who know better than us again

Class this like

Surely Leicester have already reached and passed their peak, too? I genuinely have no clue how much weight footballers give anything other than the obvious stuff like money and playing time, but he'd be leaving a club you'd imagine were only on a downward trajectory for one that (crossing everything) has its best days ahead of it in the not too distant future. Do people think there's much leverage/pull in that?
-
Aye, but you're an absolute egomaniac and talk shite the majority of the time.
-
Aye, the amount of data and manpower we'll be putting to use to determine transfer valuations is way, way beyond most people's individual capacity to judge a fee and decide whether they're happy or sad with what we've offered or paid. I think it's a very different window to January and it's already abundantly clear that we won't do deals where the valuation of the club is way beyond the range we've come up with internally. That might change as we get deeper into it, of course, but it's going to be a fun ride watching it all unfold. At least two more signings for me, likely a third on loan, and towards £100M being spent.
-
I don't think it was ever made public how it was structured, but it would be a surprise if it was £30M upfront. He's only on a four-year contract, expiring in June 2023, so we might have just received the final instalment in July if the deal was structured that way. (He transferred in July 2019.)
-
Aye, 2024 for both. They're at the peak of what they'll be able to attract fee-wise right now, which is why I think both clubs are open to selling. It's only downhill from here unless they're confident they'd sign a new contract.
-
We'll press them to death, be ahead by half-time and then have a little wobble before seeing it out with a late breakaway winner. 2-0 or 3-1 for me, as well.
-
If that story is true (a big "if") and the gap is down to €7M in terms of what we're offering and what they're asking, this deal will almost certainly get done.
-
I love the transfer fee experts, me.
-
He actually said that “radgey” line? Fucking hell.
-
Class, just class. I think I like football again, canny good.
-
Might just be flushing out the interest here? Still love to see it.
