Bit random and last minute for one of them, but NUFC have a couple of canny casual opportunities going: https://www.nufc.co.uk/club/jobs That second one, in particular, would be a cracking thing to have on the CV for someone looking to get into broadcasting.

With Hendrick and Clark going this week, we're at 29 senior players: GK Pope Dúbravka Darlow Gillespie RB Trippier Krafth Manquillo CB Schär Lascelles Botman Burn Fernandez LB Targett Dummett Lewis CM Willock S. Longstaff Guimarães Shelvey Joelinton M. Longstaff RW/LW Fraser Almirón Ritchie Saint-Maximin Murphy ST Wilson Wood Gayle -- Gayle is obviously next on the chopping block, but that still leaves us at 28. I've got Darlow or Gillespie (seems like the latter is staying), Manquillo or Lewis (seems like the former is more likely), Fernandez, M. Longstaff, and Ritchie as the ones to shift as a priority, which would leave room for two senior signings.

I heard Amanda dropped Sheikh Mansour with an RKO through a table, then Reuben and Mehrdad did a 3D on Al Mubarak through another table. They celebrated with a beer bash.

I'd be happy with a young striker and a quality winger like Diaby, but would still feel like we had a bit of a gap in central midfield. Unless, of course, Howe himself is happy with Bruno, Joelinton, and Shelvey/Willock as his trio, with the Longstaff brothers as backups. I do think RW is the most glaringly obvious weakness right now and the one that will add the most to our offensive play, and both Shelvey and Willock did have some very decent games last season so possibly deserve more time to prove they belong, particularly Willock. Still, a young striker, quality winger, and quality central midfielder/attacking midfielder and I'd probably call it a 10/10 window.

Was driving into work this morning thinking about the atmosphere at the Arsenal game, and about the TV noise from the Man Utd game last season that I had to miss due to COVID, and started wondering if anyone had any theories as to why certain games at SJP just have a "special" atmosphere to them. I think those two examples are quite easy to explain: • Last home game, Wor Flags display, etc. for Arsenal despite nothing really much to play for. • Man Utd is always tasty and we were very much in the shite at the time, but starting to believe. But then I think back to other games I've been to in the past and the Sam Allardyce 1-1 against Arsenal always stands out to me, when the crowd and players were just totally up for it from the first whistle despite being outmatched everywhere and Allardyce clearly being on bided time. There are probably other countless examples, so I'd love to hear about people's memories of random games that the crowd were just bang up for, and to hear some theories as to why that was the case. Can it even be explained?

Looking at the sheer amount of players you’d think we *could* be interested in that are clearly available or into the final year of their contracts, I honestly feel like we’re still in the mix for some of our other top targets. Howe and the rest will know better than us what needs to improve from last season to this, and I can hardly see them taking anything for granted. Feels like the market is reaching a bit of a peak right now, so would hope and expect for more business from us in the next week or so. If we don’t get at least two more quality players in the obvious positions, I’d be amazed. I’ll drink the piss.

Bundling the season tickets and memberships together seems mad to me, like. Buy a season ticket and get your one seat per game. If you want to then be in the mix to get more, buy a membership as well.

I have been looking for a new beach towel, in fairness...

Fair play, if true. -
Weird as fuck.

But how can Paqueta possibly be seen as a Shelvey replacement!? Poor Bruno might cry if asked to play as the deepest midfielder EVERY game! Whale spunk, as Midds always says.
-
You were talking utter shite, to be fair.
-
This. I want to see him eventually having 100 touches a game. He’s so fearless and creative that you want him on it as much as possible. He’ll still find moments to impact things in the final third, as he has every time he’s played in the middle of the three or in a two.
-
Should've said "best". He's surely suited to be the deepest midfielder in a 4-3-3, or as part of a double pivot in a 4-2-3-1? He's said he prefers being box-to-box, which he'd be able to do in either role.
-
Are people really this thick, man? Fucking infuriating.
-
It allows Bruno to play in his favoured role?
