He's a mere slip of a lad these days. I quite like him to be honest, good distribution and a good communicator - plus his attitude is sound. Serious question marks over his agility and shot stopping, of course, which is never good. Think Rafa will get a 'keeper sorted, regardless, but I'm not as worried about that position personally.

A big Greek signing in a World Cup year, really hope there's something in this. The fact it's in the Greek and Portuguese press does not fill me with optimism, but the link has persisted through the summer.

Like the general thought behind this post. Although I did have the same feeling when we came up last time. It was nice being the underdogs and being led by a good man/manager while it lasted and we had some cracking results early on.

Was really just falling back on the "Gayle works best with Diame" thing. Although I'd like to think that if De Jong stays and remains fit he'd be a better foil. Don't like Perez + Gayle much at all.

I'd like Samaris, simply because it gives us the option of fielding a proper double pivot with two players who are both physical and defensively capable. Having that to fall back on in certain games would definitely increase the creative burden on the three behind the striker, but would allow us to deploy a more effective counter-attacking approach. In addition to this, I always like having players who are useful from set pieces and this is something I think we're currently lacking. Too many times last season we had Shelvey and/or Diame marking from corners and losing their men, for instance. In truth there are only four players in our current "best team" I'd trust with this responsibility (Hayden, Lejeune/Lascelles, Clark and Dummett), which isn't enough for the big league and means that Dummett almost has to play (regardless of us not having any other decent option anyway).

Elliot; Yedlin, Lejeune, Clark, Dummett; Hayden, Shelvey; Ritchie, Diame, Murphy; Gayle Is this our current best XI?

Current count of season ticket seats left available on the NUFC website: Gallowgate = 6 Milburn = 28 Leazes = 81 East = 114 Total = 229 Not sure where they've all disappeared to, but could first week of summer holidays have provided a jolt in sales? Or have they taken off all seats that have been sold on an individual basis to members for Spurs?

Probably worth looking at other football club pages on companies house to cross reference, I would but I'm on mobile and have pho on the way.

Not just this? New money laundering regs? https://www.gov.uk/government/news/changes-to-uk-anti-money-laundering-measures

Love how he asked Ryder to investigate.

Rafa and numerous other circumstances have pulled me back, although like ope I didn't thank last season was very enjoyable until the run-in and insane conclusion. However, I've jumped in with both feet by deciding to move home for work reasons; getting a season ticket and even snapping up the new shirt... and returning to N-O, of course. Despite this it feels like I'm on a tightrope, whereby things will be dandy simply provided that he stays and is given anywhere what he considers to be near adequate backing or he'll get shafted by Ashley and I'll be back into protest mode (or worse). Like many, I'm not sure I'll survive this potential opportunity being turned sour but I hope I still care enough to rail against it, should things go south. In general football has become a chore to me, though, but I'm hoping that no longer "having" to watch games will rekindle my passion for it.

Think this is reasonable, the only issue I can see is that Hanley was mildly spitting his dummy out last season about not playing whereas there wasn't much from Mbemba in that regard (unless I missed it). Would still rather lose Hanley than Mbemba, but it's not critical either way.

He does. Cut off date is born on or after January 1st 1996. Source: https://www.premierleague.com/news/84136

I think so as well, but I'm pretty sure he'll be aware of the elevated risk of ending up with an "empty" space until January if he does this. He's effectively missed 2.5 seasons with 3 different injuries in the last 3 years now. He has started each season "fit", as well.

Only just realised we have 35 players on the books who would require a squad place to be used for them in the PL this season. Of those you'd imagine Sterry, Gillesphey, Findlay, Smith, El-Mhanni and Toney will find themselves out on loan to drop this to 29 (again, in all cases bar El-Mhanni). In addition to this there's an argument to be made for Aarons doing the same, which could drop it to 28, though at the current time it seems unlikely. That still leaves us with plenty of deadweight, but there's a case for Haidara (small), Saivet (small), De Jong (decent) and Mitrovic (decent) to be kept on. That would leave us trying to flog Krul, Gamez, Hanley, Good, Lazaar and Riviere (none of whom seem to have any future). Still loads to do

Stoking up this transfer window like nobody's business. Think this guy will be a pleasant surprise.

Plus Perez & Terrier who have been on our books in the Premier League but didn't appear. Amalfitano too.
