Haddaway and shite man.

Yanga-Mbiwa, Gouffran, Haidara and Sissoko?

Should be an easy adjustment for Yohan, he's had Pardew shouting "Thou shall not pass" at him for almost two seasons now.

You don't HALF make a LOT of shit up FYP.

I think this a decent point and it's probably part of the consideration when we're making so many deals. Ferguson and Sammy in particular are crying out for loan spells at a decent level where they'll be able to play. If they do go they'll hopefully rediscover that raw confidence they both had when they came into the team. Tavernier already has good experience away from NUFC although it probably hasn't seem him push on as hoped, so you'd imagine he'd be off somewhere again as well - Championship level this time with a bit of luck. Dummett back to St. Mirren probably goes without saying, while Abeid and Amalfitano probably need to go somewhere and perform well if they want to have any chance of forging any kind of career here. Campbell is a more difficult one as there probably aren't too many clubs at a strong level who would be willing to gamble on him and play him enough, so he may be better off staying here where he'll be involved with training amongst the first-team and playing regularly for the U21's. If there is an attractive offer for him then we should definitely jump on it too. In addition to those mentioned Ranger could do with going somewhere to get him in the shop window to try and shift him while he appears to "want" to be a footballer again.

If he's half as good as Ba (the last forward we bought who wasn't considered an adequate replacement by the majority) then we'll have done alright, still hoping for a bit more action though. I'm a greedy cunt.

Comes as standard now. Usually 5 or 4.5 isn't it? Can't remember a 5.5, maybe Santon? Debuchy.

If this lad signs can we make him a song to the tune of Sussudio by Phil Collins?

Incredible foresight.

He's definitely had an axe to grind for some time now, used to think he was canny enough when he was at The Journal.

Luke Edwards loves pouring fuel on the fire.

Disgusted by this whole thing tbh. It's a ludicrous situation.

Just had a transfer bath™ to celebrate the insane amount of news today. Highly recommend it, especially accompanied by numerous videos of stuff from last season. Nothing quite like watching HBA when you're in the buff.

Am I remembering wrong or did we have a "large" offer knocked back for Luuk De Jong in the summer? Or was it accepted and he just didn't fancy it? Was it ever confirmed by a reliable source? I'm of the mind that we are in the market for another expensive forward if the right one is available, and I'd be surprised if Gouffran represented our only business up top given how close to the first team that would still leave Shola and Ranger. Might as well gamble now if there's something that can be done.

I think he does usually play out wide yes. Scored something like 14 in 35 last season Rich. Wasn't me asking sausage

Thought this one would be right up our street this month. Given that he looks likely to cost around £7.5m less than our original target do people hold out any hope that we may be looking to supplement his arrival with another attacking player? Or has the money been put towards targets in other areas now? I'm leaning towards the latter given Pardew's comments in the press a few weeks ago, but I live in eternal hope as always. Even if it's just a player like Thauvin coming in (who perhaps wouldn't have been bothered with otherwise) I think I'd be happy enough, although someone in the Payet mould - yep I'm gonna keep banging that drum - would be marvelous.

The guy is unbelievable. Delaying things over 250,000 euros. He essentially wants the guy for free now, as that 750,000 euros we bis was to buy out the rest of his contract apparently.

Euros.
