The Tiote comments never fail to amuse me. What a beast.
  2. don't know if thats a or a......can't find a nervously shitting themselves smiley. on a side note looking throught the available smileys, too many meme's and trolls. just so "of the moment" with no thought of quality

    St James' Park

Time will tell like, and if there is a company willing to do it and pay for the privilege I really fear what sort of outfit they will be anyway.

Compete ffs. My emotional investment in NUFC doesn't start and stop at the f***ing transfer window. Happily see another relegation if it got rid of this shithead and we stopped becoming Sports Direct FC. Regardless of sentiment, I do think sicko has understood their logic behind this. Still a nasty thing overall, though. The biggest flaw in this logic is that businesses are so fucking stupid that they need him to do this. "Hmm however could we sponsor a stadium like St James' Park - I wouldn't know where to start..." That's not what I meant, or what sicko was saying. It's Ashley taking all of the initially negative publicity about changing the stadium name so that if/when a new sponsor does come in and the name changes again, they are faced with a lesser amount of bile/distrust and may even be seen in a positive light by some. It's a shame that clubs are having to do this in order to compete.

    Sunderland...

These lot crack me up. Had two of them in the past few days telling me they'll still finish above us without batting an eyelid. I know it's a long season and all that, but I'm amazed at their confidence delusion given their form, manager and squad. I was pretty gracious both times and yet they both then chimed in with the "well we've done it the past three years" line. Good to know that the Mackem Script exists outside of RTG.
  7. Thought he was as good as I've seen before from him, their goal aside. A lot of unusually composed moments in amongst a lot of successful headers/tackles. Impressed.
  8. I've read them and I don't. We'll see how it goes the next time around, eh?

    Alan Pardew

Sorry if it's been covered elsewhere, but just dug these out from NUFC.com in terms of "all-time club records": He's already taken the bottom one as we're now on 13 unbeaten when you include the three from the tail-end of last season and avoiding defeat on Saturday will see him equal the top one. Shame that it's Manchester City (a) after that, but it would be all the more special if he manages to keep it going to take it outright there too. Absolutely dumbfounding, but absolutely brilliant.

    Sunderland...

He's usually been playing off the striker. Larsson has been on the left of a four-man midfield for the majority of their games. Good little player, won't be long before he's jumping ship like the rest of them have done over time. EDIT: I did think he was decent enough in the derby, btw, caused us plenty of problems by playing in between the defence and midfield but was incredibly wasteful in his end product. He was their only real threat.
  11. People are quick to forget the "What would the majority prefer?" shite and the "Remie Streete" thread "in case something happens". Basically, he was docked under 100 again because he kept starting off absolute drivel and decided to go on the wind-up with even worse stuff instead of being a good lad. We'll see how it goes next time, although I'm not hopeful given the fact he was posting links to streams last month as well.
  12. Can we not just enjoy a superb win without all of this nonsense?
  13. Just got in from work to be told by the brother that N-O had been down for a few hours. Naturally delighted to hear that news. Restarted the server and it appears we're back. Can only apologise for the slowness/frustration and suggest that we might be struggling for the match tonight given the type of issue it appears to be, although I'll keep an eye on it instead of enjoying the game again. As all of this is somewhat out of my hands I'm absolutely shaking with rage™ that we're experiencing yet more problems. It's an absolute fucking joke.
  14. The work should have been finished since about 5pm, so there shouldn't be any more downtime from here on today until the normal weekly backup runs at around 4am (BST). We'll see how it goes during times of extreme load, but extensive testing has been done on the bottleneck that was discovered over the past few hours and it has apparently been modified to cope with far, far more users online. Multiple times more, hopefully. Only thing now is to wait and see again. Got to thank people again for the patience and apologise for the further disruption, but we're getting there bit by bit.
  15. Spurs really are excellent these days, like. I'm finding it increasingly hard to dislike them. Even though we took a point up here against them - and could have won it in the end - watching them up close you could see their quality all over the park, really well-organised, well-built and exciting team.
  16. Aye, sorry folks. Took me by surprise too! There's unscheduled work going on in the background to fix a bottleneck that was found during the ET period of the Blackburn game, it's not being done by me or anyone else from here. I posted all of the stats/background server information from the crash on Wednesday over on the specialist SMF help section for "big forums" and we're now looking to get it sorted ASAP. It was a buffer we hadn't quite hit since the move. Basically there's no fucking way we should be crashing at 745 users on this new server, even though the load is extremely high with second-by-second refreshes/posts during non-televised games (especially ones as exciting as the Blackburn one), so we're hoping to get it properly sorted. We needed that test against Blackburn to get the required data really, as we'd never hit that limit previously since the switch.
  17. Here. If anyone genuinely fucked off when Lovenkrands came on then that is even sweeter. Won the freekick, won the penalty, scored the penalty. Fuck negativity. Howay!
  18. OH MY FUCKING GOD!!! I was writing the fucking obituary on Facebook/Twitter!! GET THE FUCK IN!!!
