He looked close to bubbling on Sky like. That interview was extremely awkward. Actually cheered me up a notch after our horror show at how unprofessional it was. Unfortunately IF Sunderland get this appointment right (and Sbragia had to go) then they could really push on. Good youth set-up, plenty of saleable assets, fresh investment forthcoming, fairly decent squad, big support... urgh. A quality manager in there and they could kick-on big style. Let's hope they fuck it up again... can't see it though myself. :-[

Not watching, but I'm assuming Sheff Utd are playing long-ball, horrible football and are being completely outclassed? Saw them about half a dozen times this season in the flesh/on TV and it's always the fucking same with them.

It all depends on his wages for me. IF he is on the oft-mentioned £60-65k per week and even if he has had a 25% cut or whatever, then he'll still be getting paid far too much for what his contribution will be. That's how it's going to have to be done, unfortunately, comparing what a player is getting paid compared to what his on-pitch value has been and will be next season in the Championship. That's why the dolts running the club need to get Shearer to put pen to paper and start sorting this mess out ASAP. The wage structure will have to be completely re-written before anything is done. I'm not optimistic about the whole thing, not at all.

"Pleased" might be pushing it, but I'm trying to look on the bright side.

The fact I couldn't think of anything to answer this post with (other than insults and/or other smilies) says it all really. About both of us, perhaps.
-
He should stick around, I hope he does. Can see him getting snapped up by the likes of Arsenal as a squad player, though, and being delighted with that. One of the few I'd be sad to lose (along with Beye, S. Taylor and Enrique - possibly Jonas as well).
-
Want to see him sacked off, can't see it happening. He'll be the type who we keep and see the squad "built around". Krul will be the one to go.
-
I'm expecting some sort of announcement on him today or tomorrow, either way. They'll know it needs nipping in the bud (I hope). They need to offset the relegation with some crumb of comfort and surely their only hand is to offer the job to Shearer on the proviso that he sorts it out from top-to-bottom and gets us right back up there. Anything less than that and apathy and disenchantment could swiftly turn to anger. Shearer holds all the cards here.

Preston, Barnsley, Doncaster, Sheff Utd and Scunthorpe would be definites due to family ties, location and friends' teams. Dunno about the rest of them, will have to see what next year brings.

If you cried, you need to sort your fucking priorities out.

"...back Alan Shearer or fuck off!" - hardly the most sage uttering I've ever read in my time on here. Dear me. I think the fact it had been said dozens of times elsewhere tonight was the reason for those "infantile" replies. You've tried to start a new thread and thought, "fucking hell I'm onto something here, people will love this and I'll be credited as a visionary for my immense summing-up of the situation and my incredibly accurate pinpointing of the major issue at hand." When, in reality, it's already being discussed/has been discussed in about 3 other threads tonight. Did the very first response you got not give you a clue? Not from an Administrator either, amazingly.

Absolutely no class man, that's all it comes down to. Fair play they're celebrating staying up but it was the manner of it that got me. Horrible.

It's better than talking about today's fiasco, talking bollocks (preferably about the future, rather than the past) in here is keeping me away from the woe-fest that is undoubtedly happening everywhere else on the board, or at least I assume it is, I haven't had the stomach to go and look, to be honest. Apart from the usual suspects taking any chance they get to have a pop at people and act the cunt it's not the apocalyptic scene I was expecting after getting in from my mate's house. Certainly no more depressed than it was there anyway.

I bet all of the trauma is hard to take for a lad with his disability. You'd think he'd be alright with going down, out of all of them.
-
Duff looked ready to blub as well.
-
Gobsmacked by that, honestly. Just don't get it. EDIT: Well I get why he's done it, it's just the opening line in particular that gets me and the fact he's put Ashley before the fans in the wording of it. Bananas.
-
It's not relevant but indi will still gladly debate about it endlessly if you press him on it

"Fuck off or die" was what I expected to see, tbh. Disappointed Jimmy.
-
Disgusted with today and the season in general. Hasn't sunk in yet either, not looking forward to that happening.
-
What an egotistical motherfucking cunt. Pure evil.
-
Was just joking. Basically, proved that the Sun's assumption probably is/was utter bollocks as you mentioned, seeing how Man Utd can't play "the same team that beat Arsenal".
-
I'm on my phone on the way home at the moment hence the bitty replies, but did I just see you question people's logic about what could have happened because it's wishful thinking and in the same post say on another day Martins would have scored? I smell contradiction again.
-
You continue to ignore the fact we lost the game and didn't actually score a goal. How much worse could it have been if Lovenkrands had started? That's my point, which you've ignored about two or three times now. Just because Martins had 2 good chances, the selection was right?? I can't agree with that in a game we were at home for and maybe needed to have won.
-
Skirge, I'd love to have your brain for a day mate.

So is Fletcher allowed to play or are they just going to use 10 men!?
