  1. Come on now mate, let's not soil what should be a brilliant thread
  2. Beautiful, beautiful man. Would love to meet the bloke and listen to him talk about football.
  3. Aye, the writer's strike is over, thank Christ.

    FA Cup 5th Round

Keegan is the antidote to this type of football, remember. Good times are ahead for the game. He is the cure.

    Fucking hell, that was depressing.
  6. Shearer's denied all knowledge, unsurprisingly.

Theres a massive difference in the way every half decent piece of play is over analysed and commended. The only thing you'll hear about Nani's finish is criticism of the defender's positioning, the good pass, and maybe a comment or two of "good finish" and agreement with that. If it was Rooney on the other hand, youd have heard how the movement was brilliant, how the control and first touch was excellent, how composed he was, how the awareness of the keeper was spot on, how the finish was tremendous, etc etc. Even with the small header you had a whole list of credits poured on him. Anyone else and it would just be ignored (bar others who get wanked over). Nani was my MOTM yesterday. 2 assists and a goal. Extra points for showboating. Give him a season or two and he'll be the real Ronaldo Mk II - or at least as close as anyone's going to get.

    Personal Reasons

Could have done with Sagna like, Hoyte was poop yet again.
  9. What is it, 74 games unbeaten at Stamford Bridge now? Probably could be called value for money. If you asked me to pay double the money on my £500 season ticket for the next 3 seasons with the promise that we wouldn't lose a game I attended for that money, then I'd snap your hand off.
  10. I'm looking forward to the mongs reacting to this. More instability is the last thing we need right now, though, which happens whether this story is true or false. Funny that this story comes out on a weekend when we have no game/nowt is happening. The Allardyce/Keegan/Wise stuff has satisfied the press for a good month or two now, they've ran out of stuff to write, so it's back to hostile takeovers. Laughable really.

    KK on Faye

Aye, I wasn't happy with him sitting on the fucking bench for the entire Villa game. Get the lad on the park. Although I do think he's magically improved since he's been to Ghana like. Still feel more confident with him in our side, but he's not as good as people make him out to be.

  18. Better team-mates, etc. More to it than the opposition.
  19. well he isn't anywhere close too cacapa or faye, so no thanks. Oh dear.
  20. 33 seconds He'd certainly fit into the "realistic" bracket. Whether he'd be good enough or not is highly debatable though. Personally, I'd hope for someone with more authority than him.
  21. The more prominent fact here is surely: why would Wes Brown come here to be cover to Beye? If Brown signed, he'd surely be a first choice centre half. Otherwise why leave Man Utd?
  22. Right lads and lasses, we haven't got much time again with this, so get your replies in sharp-ish: Simple enough, reply with "Option 1", "Option 2" or "Option 3" and any reasons you have for voting so. Remember that the club loses money for every unsold seat that we have, so that's why they don't always just take the full allocation. If my maths is right, if we take Option 3 and the club only sells 2000 tickets, then they lose £28k - and I doubt that will go down too well.
  23. You got what you wanted. As i've been saying since October, the players arent good enough. We needed to spend enormous amounts of cash during January and the amateurs running this club failed to understand this. If we go down, it will be the board's fault. Team selection was as much to blame as anything yesterday, highlighted further by O'Neill having the nouse to completely change the game at half-time while we changed nowt to combat it. It just seemed another "hope for the best" situation here, which we've seen under all the managers since Robson. I was disappointed with Keegan yesterday, in all honesty, because if Enrique, Emre, Faye and Viduka were all fit enough to play then they should have been on the fucking park. Villa were dreadful in the first-half, but we were too impotent to really take advantage of it and at 1-0 at the break everyone around me there knew exactly what was coming, especially when those changes were made. We need investment, of course, but first we need or best players on the park in their correct f'ing positions. Discounting just yesterday though, the board do deserve criticism for the way they've handled a few things this season and they must be held accountable (along with the players/managers/staff) for the position we find ourselves in. This season has been a fucking abortion.

    Alan Smith

For all the mistakes he does make, (never passing forwards being my main concern), it's farcical that we were expecting him to beat Martin Laursen in an aerial battle for 90 minutes yesterday. That bloke is one of the best - if not the best - headers of the ball in the league and he had a good 3 inches on Smith as well. Very frustrating approach to take and it didn't do Smith any favours, not that he did himself many either like.
  25. Didn't like what I saw of the bloke personally, seemed a cunt. Not upset.
