Neither of these really get me going, Allardice has the required experience and hasn't done badly with limited resources, just a bit scared that he knows nothing other than "rough em up" tactics....better than "stick with the older players" tactics that we have at moment...

I've watched Milan a few times on the telly this year in the Italian league, Kaka reminds me a bit of our own enigma "Emre", both of them have "moments" in games and have 5-10 minute spells where they dominate but they both also dissappear in many games and are carried by the rest of the team. Kaka is of course a far superior technical player but he does tend to float in and out of games, can be frustrating at times...

Quite comical really! What we need is a new back line!! That ginger lads goal was so easy, nobody around to take it off him...

Do you honestly think we'd get something better for less than 1 million? He knows the club and is pretty average but is able to do a job if someone gets injured...

Ship baba out and keep carr as back up for the new left and right backs that we'll be buying in the summer. We'd get more worth out of him that way and we wouldn't overstretch the squad and still have an old head to give out tips etc..

It would have to take about 8-10 million to sell charlie. everyone has their price and if it's for the benefit of the team why Not? A couple of defenders for that price and we'll be better off for it... A crackin' player but expendable as far as I'm concerned, ditto Dyer...

Yes, immediate reaction is ungrateful ****ard! But I would readily accept 6-8 million for him as long as it was spent on two decent defenders i.e. Dyer=2 defenders...yes please! I would also take the same for Parker as it seems plain to me that he doesn't gel with the team as good as emre and butt do (or sidwell and emre?). I honestly hope we have a half decent clear out and get some decent defenders and perhaps another midfielder...

What this club needs is stability.... At this time that equates to Glenn Roeder being here for another year. Would any manager come to NUFC when we are the only club who changes their managers more than ...Real mADRID (every year) It is obvious that we will strengthen the defence and hopefully we will get rid of dyer and anyone else who's heart isn't in it! I only saw the game on telly yesterday but Carr was excellent in both halves, I don't think I've seen him play that well on the right and Baba will have to up his game 200% to get near the standard of yesterday... Didn't put a pass wrong and was a textbook modern day left back!! He is still inconsistent, but that seems to be the problem for the whole of our team not just Stephen Carr!! FFS we can grind out results against the supposed best teams "in europe" (see champs league) yet we can pish away games against less than average outfits such as Fulham man city etc...etc. Boils my urine, it does!!!

I would have thought that most dead wingers were overated.... the only crosses they could get near to are the ones six foot above their heads....ha....ha...ha

Why hasn't he used emre in the middle instead of one of the Butt-Parker partnership all of the time? It makes sense to everybody else...
