Just read in the spanish sports daily "AS" that Luque's dad has arranged a loan deal to Spanish Club Levante for our battle hardened left winger. It all seems to depend on whether Luque lowers his wages to adapt to the other club, seemingly our leaders have sanctioned this (if I remember correctly!). Just as I thought he was going to turn it all on it's head...never mind!

It is essential that we get off to a good start at Bolton: Draw or win will do it, lose and it's back to the drawing board!!!!!!!!

Teams do seem a bit stronger this year ...but that counts for all the teams so I suggest there will not be such a great difference between 4th and 8th place. If we are lucky with injuries (ha ha ha) I reckon we could scrape sixth place. We should be able to score a lot more goals this year and our defence and midfield looks a lot sturdier aswell, just a shame barton isn't starting the season at Bolton. Not too bothered that owen isn't playing because in Smith and Oba we have two decent covering strikers. That's what it seemed like to me aswell. We could compare it to if Zoggy left us after his "good" year, a lad with a lot of talent and huge potential... We'd be quite pissed off too. I doubt Ashley would step in and over-rule the chairman of the club in that manner... It really has to be down to something we do not know about and the reason Sam is sticking up for Dyer is so that the weasel can play for us again without getting his house blown up by some radgie who's a bit peturbed over his loyalty (ahem.) bonus desires!!!

It seems like we now have a "professional" set up at St James Park and all of this talk about "re-evaluation" of Dyer's price is Bullshiite if you ask me, Sam comments are a smokescreen for one of two things: -Loyalty bonus of 2 million (Dyer realisticaslly asked for a transfer by crying to Sam about moving south) -Newcastle have been tricked by West Ham (Tapped up dyer)

He's not the most technically gifted of players but will make up for it with commitment, aggression and perseverance, which are some of the facets that this team seriously lacked last year. For 6 million it's a shrewd buy I would say. By all accounts he put two in the net yesterday which betters our other strikers (Luque apart!).

Suppose Pattison would be the one to get rid of. I would even keep ramage until we get another centrakl defender. Keep the other kids to see how they progress.

where did everyone get the stuff about deco being an attacking midfielder??? Played as the holding midfielder/water carrier/easy but effective ball player for the last couple of years. P.s. Very good at it also.

Personally, I ythink Raul is past it, he hasn't had a decent season for a few years now..is out of the national side because of his bad form and seems to lack that cutting edge he used to have. Deco on the other hand is truely the puppetmaster for Barcelona, he really does dictate the play for them and he is very good ball getter aswell, him and barton in the middle would be class!!

I visit it once a week to read the match reports and I find them to be bang on target most of the time. I normally just quickly fly through their home page and make my way straight to the match reports. I understand what people say about their opinions and not everyone will agree but I think it adds a bit of spice to their page and not just the sycophantic politically correct drivel you can read elswhere!

On his day he can be a great player but those "days" are far too scarce to warrant the salary he is on. The recent "best" was his display in the uefa cup before coming off injured again!! His "run" last season was nothing, anyone could shine in that team, the way we were playing... If an offer of 8 million plus came in we would be stupid not to sell.
