  1. Parker this year isn't a shade on the parker of last year! Maybe the jimmy bullard incident? Butt makes the passes without dithering...they always seem one touch two at most and generally meet their destination. On present form you couldn't break up the butt emre partnership!!
  2. Actually saw the match live last night (cheers offshore!) and really enjoyed it. Atmosphere was allright and we gave the team a good kick up the arse in the second half which eventually brought the equaliser. The things that stuck out: We are capable of good slick passing football and looked shit hot at times. Our defense (Ramagae/Baba) were woefull and make too many simple mistakes. Heres my ratings: Given 7- Wrongfooted for the first goal. apart from that didn't do much wrong. Solano 7- Should have been quicker to the guy who scored their goal, didn't close him down or try and block the shot. Sublime cross for the goal (sibs). Great distribution from the back and always a good outlet.took pressure off defence many a time. F##k off Carr... Taylor 8 - I was impressed, won all his stuff in the air and was bossing the players in the defense. Ramage 6- Didn't play too badly to be honest but his distribution is awful and you get the sensation that the football is really a HOT POTATO when it falls at his feet!!! Babayaro 5- That air kick was sunday league. second to the ball a lot. Ring rusty or just sh##e?? Milner 6- Tried hard but his first touch and his ball control let him down a lot. Emre 8.5 - Best game I've seen him pl;ay, good in attack and tracked back and defended well. What a goal! Butt 9- Roll out the cliches... every blade of grass, engine room, backbone..etc..etc. Zoggy 6- Really looks out of sorts and didn't track back and defend much. Normally seems quite robust but didn't do a lot. Had a good last 15 minutes and had a couple of chances to put someone in score... Should have been subbed on 60 mins. Sibs 8.5- Worked his socks off, got a goal, won a lot of headers and held the ball up well when needed to. Impressed! Martins 7- Needs to get his foot in a bit more and needs to hassle defenders "a la Bellamy", I thought on at least three occasions he could have got to a 50/50 ball and there were too many times when he could have pressurized a defender and maybe have got a loose ball or forced a bad pass... Snatched his chances a bit. Needs to get closer to sibs when we launch the long balls up field, how many times were they at other side of the pitch to each other and sibs headers went straight to an opposition defender? Roeder 7.5 - Should have had zoggy off in second half.

    Babayaro

It's crystal clear that both babayaro and ramage are not up to the minimum standard we want for our left back position. New left back in Jan is essential. As said above, charlie didn't help at all and should have been subbed around the 60 minute mark, as he was teargas.
  4. Give him a new contract then sell him for 5 million in jan tongue.gif
  5. The lads who told me this a couple of days ago are good friends and I doubt that both of them would invent the same story that really is of no interest to them (manc supporters). That is what they told me and I suppose they must have been back since the summer or one of their subbies...
  6. Aye Zat Knight would be laughable!! tongue.gif Bridge and Distin plus a striker of some shape or form would do it for me....
  7. Regards the G14 or whatewver it's called, Bayern Munich are looking to leave it soon as they think it offers nothing to them and does not fit in with thier socio-economic football ideas i.e. they are selfish and money grabbing wotsits who want to take a lot out of the game and not give much back, inevitably making themselves much richer and powerful and everyone else subordinates as such. Bayern think that there should be an even field with transfer spending limits imposed so that equilibrium is axchieved in the transfer market and the european cup is more competitive and aso the leagues. The ones who make more profits should pay more to the development in lower leagues etc. I quite like this german footballing utopia....
  8. The blokes who told me this were with owen this summer (after world cup) and I assume that more of it is directed at souness and "not so much" at Roeder. The thing that gets me is that the defensive stuff must have been absolute garbage before physco pearson came in and given that Roeder was a defender it does make you wonder. P.S. The blokes in question don't support the toon (prawn sawnie manc supporters) and wouldn't have any reason to make it up...
  9. Little Mickey Owen regards our training sessions as the worst he has had in his career (not specified if pre Roeder or not...). Also commented that pearson has turned around the defensive sessions by a country mile! He thinks we might be fighting for a UEFA place by the time he returns (on drugs I suppose), contrasts with what he said earlier? I'm back in the UK at the moment and have been talking to a couple of lads who do work for him and their crack was along those lines. He also said he's here for the long run as he likes it up here...
  10. As somebody siad earlier in this thread Emre's problem is his consistency in going "missing" for periods in a game. He can be an excellent midfielder but this is all undone when he gets those ten minute spells where he does absolutely nothing, shirks tackles, stays static, doesn' t cover. These facets normally stick with me whilst watching him as his other qualities aren't of such a high standard to erase from my memory his absences. I would also sell him for 6 million plus in January, this would guarantee us an extra man or two in defence...

I think we should go with martins and dyer up front especially if they are going to come up against "lightning O'brien".. tongue.gif tongue.gif
  12. In the last couple of games Roeder has let Luque play in he has been better than Duff. He has done what he should do in the positions played i.e. score goals, get crosses in and track back. Duff on the other hand has only been capable of the latter. blueconfused.gif**note well; Luque hasn't had a run to get some "form", unlike other underperformers** Had Luque not have slipped three or four times on thurs he would have had an outstanding game as he had the beating of his opponent on these occasions... Still don't think he does as much as he could but even at 75% he is better than duff has been in his last couple of games.
  13. I think we should all pay for some private tuition so he can retake his english GCSE exam and come back and make our mornings more meaningful than ever before. Is he god? bluebiggrin.gif

After last night I'd go for the following: --------------Given----------------- Solano-----Bramble---Taylor---Zoggy Milner-----Parker----Butt----Luque ---------Dyer------------------- ------------------Martins--------- With Dyer playing in the hole and if Luque fannys about emre would replace him in the second half...

    Nobby Solano

Solanao was excellent last night, really enjoyable to see someone bring the ball out of our defence intelligently and make some class interceptions aswell. Did get a bit too far upfield at times but a good 8/10 performance. Keep him there as he seems better than Carr (although I don't think he's as bad as people make out!).
  16. I can't fault the lad for his effort and his heart when he plays, he gives everything, hats off to him for that. The problem is that he is no where near premiership standard and it sticks out a mile! Last night when he was "doubled" over trying to steer the right wingers "outside" was truly horrific, they saw this and ripped him apart coming inside every time as he couldn't get his balance back quick enough. If you watch the match again (I have) in the second half it is blatantly obvious that they have pinpointed him as the weak link and generally put a lot of their attacks down his flank. He is pretty good in the air as he didn't lose out too many high balls but his ball control/trapping gives balls away every other time and his passing is sunday league at best. I do feel sorry for him as he is out of his depth and shouldn't really be in our team for a few years (loaned to first division for a while) but whilst we have the serial mismanagement at our club we will have to put up with these debacles! P.s. Whoever says they would rather have Ramage than Baba needs shot! P.P.S. Baba with a Ramage heart transplant would solve all our problems :winking:
  17. the quicker the better seing what the alternative we have on the left
  18. wrong position! my arsse! He is the worst football player I have seen at Nufc for a long time. His footballing skills are non existant and his defending skills are mediocre. Roll on january and bridge!
  19. Every time he gets the ball I shudder. He makes me more nervous than anyone else in the team, jesus! P.S. Nobby for right back, someone who can pass the ball out of defence

    Alan Oliver???

SYCOPHANT!!! Nothing More, Nothing Less. Disgrace to journalism if you ask me...
  21. 2 subs around the 65-70 minute mark. Third sub for back up just in case.....
  22. I've changed my mind: -----------------Harper (if fit)--------------- Taylor-------Moore----Ramage------Babayaro Milner--------Dyer-----Parker------Duff ----------------Luque-------------- -----------Rossi---------------- Subs: Zoggy Solano Bramble Krul Sibs All out to win this game. Bring dyer of at 60 mins for the Zog and if Luque doesn't perform sibs on at 65 mins. 3-1 Luque, Duff, Rossi, Ramage (O.G.)
  23. 5 million is laughable. Imagine if he was English? We would be hearing 15 million instead of five!!

    Transfer Business

Just accentuates the fact that we have completely shite management at this club. Emre is expendible in my opinion whereas the younger lads (Milner/Zog) are the future of our club and they aren't too bad now either!!
