    Alexander Isak

His change of pace and slow motion trickery is a gift to watch. Really enjoyed his cameo tonight
  2. The bye bye was his highlight. Pressured well but not much else tbf…
  3. A couple of signings needed to lift us up again. Although we “controlled” the game to a majority, we were never at the races until isak and maxi came on. Joe is far better left cm snd maxi in front. felt sorry for willock as end product was awful but the intent was there. Bruno also had an average outing as well as Big dan who looked a yard off.
  4. Aye, deserved to start today, hope eddie digests it. him and Isak sprinkled a little stardust on a pretty jaded display

    Ok, second best then

Don’t know why all the negativity, last season he was the best player they had by a long stretch. If we are interested in him it will be because we have studied him to the nth degree and have decided that he will improve the team. Then Eddie and co will have given the final vote after more hours of analysis. Leave to the ones in the know and get behind their decision.

Got 40 mil champs league cash comin
  8. Nico williams is great going forward but has no clue about defending. Have watched him come through at Athletic and go to all home games. would suffer the same as Maxi tbh. Exactly the same faults and same strengths. easier to keep maxi tbh
  9. TBH I would rather Maxi started on the left today and Joe dropped into midfield. We have lacked a cutting edge up front lately and I think Maxi must be chomping at the bit to show he merits a place in the team
  10. Gordon fits the "mould" that eddie likes for his players, the only doubt I would have is his personality (in training, with team mates, off pitch activities etc.). What we see on the pitch is a nasty hungry player who also does a shift... This is what we want if the background checks on all the rest are good!
  11. Full team out tomorrow and get a goal or two lead to finish them off and enable me to buy wembley tickets!!!
  12. Agree, both the csm and wings are where we should look to upgrade the current 433 system. i would like to see us go to a more attacking 4141 system.
  13. I liked ASM yesterday, he played passes at the right time and whenever he was in our half he didnt take too many risks. Yesterday was a game where he should have started, Longstaff off and big joe dropping into inside left midfield. I like Big Jow on the left but think that maxi with his edge can make a difference in this type of game

    Alexander Isak

I love the way Isak slows down slightly, waits for the defender to slow anlittle then hits the turbos… really seems to glide past them. Elegant footballer!
  15. I thought Trippier had an average game yesterday compared to his usual level. His passes and defending just wasn’t quite there. miggy flattered to deceive yesterday, there was a couple of times when he shot that a pass or one-two would have been much better options. Joe willock just didn’t get the rub of the green for me, had an excellent gane and thought longstaff should have been subbed instead of him. Palace are well organised and were difficult to break down but we should have beaten them considering how we dominated them for at least two thirds of the playing time. Going forward I think we need an out and out number 10, a tricky player with an eye for a pass and also some competition for the wings. I watched leicester yesterday and thought madison really works hard for the team and has that assist pass in him. Although I really rate longstaff’s work on the pitch, his final ball and shooting are pretty awful tbf. An upgrade in the no6 position is also a must.

He might just be a jekyl and hyde type, nice and well mannered off the pitch and a scraggy, shithousing bassa on the pitch… Eddie will have researched him…. No dickheads allowed
  17. According to Express he is about to sign for Besiktas. Would deffo mean we are getting a quality midfielder in if this happens

    Anthony Gordon

TBH last season he was everton’s best player by a mile. This season the whole team is gas, so his average outings might be reflected in this. He is a good player; hounds and harasses off the ball and is good on the ball. no problem with the Junkie billboard advert coming here
  19. I thought Manu played 10 times better than palace last night. Palace disn’t really threaten their goal at all. For me palace flatter to deceive, their midfield is crap and only zaha and olise are the decent players they have

    Sean Longstaff

Longstaff complies with 90% of the needs of a holding midfielder who´s main facet is to break up play and hinder opposing teams attacking moves. If we also want a midfielder who can pass sublimely and has amazing first touch this is where his missing ten percent is... For me, he give 110% every single game, this more or less makes up for the missing "baller" attributes that I often scream at him about. After the game I can always say that he was decent, during the game we all seem to pick up on that small 10% of faults rather than the 90% of great play... We (I) are a fickle bunch!
  22. ASM deserves to start if Bruno is out injured. He did well today and Joe, Jow and Longstaff are fine for the midfield three.
  23. At the end of the Jan window there is always a flourish of signings
  24. It is actually very nice to have decent attacking options off the bench; Isak and ASM. I would play ASM in this one from the start, as they play quite high up the pitch we would have plenty "out" balls to him and Calum high up the pitch to beat their press...

    Sean Longstaff

Tielemans was awful last night and has been poor for a while. there was one instance where he was dispossesed in his own half and made no effort to keep up with our player. I don´t like his lack of spirit/fight, he has plenty technical ability but seems a bit unreliable defensively. No upgrade on our midfielders tbh. If we get a player it should be a real challenger for a starting place, just don´t think tielemans could "work" his way into Eddie´s set up.
