Hopefully he can leverage his US connections to get some tasty sponsorships which can’t be accused of being related party. Maybe get the cameras in ala Wrexham and build up US interest. Paint a picture of us being interlopers challenging the established order who have rigged the system against us but we still won (Carabao cup). Try to exploit the Saudi market, maybe NUFC branded Cafes/Shisha bars with live screenings. Serve food and make it family friendly as well as halal compliant. Think the time difference is plus 3hrs gmt so weekend matches are doable though midweek matches would finish quite late. Just spitballing some ideas but hopefully he can bring in the cash.

He’s flexible with formation on occasion so I don’t understand why he can’t be flexible with this type of player especially when against certain teams it would come in handy.

Good players have left from one big club to another many times over the years. Sterling from Liverpool to City. Mascherano from Liverpool to Barca. Coutinho from Liverpool to Barca Suarez from Liverpool to Barca Van persie from Arsenal to Man U. How Isak went about it leaves a sour taste in the mouth but such transfers have happened before.

7/10. Turned out better than I first feared. Lost a brilliant individual player but strengthened the squad overall which will mean we can sustain a challenge across multiple competitions as we can bring decent players in without a huge drop in quality. Also managed to clear out some deadwood which is good. Only negative I think we needed one more midfielder, a creative type as we lack that against teams that sit deep and where power and pace doesn’t help due to a lack of space to run into.

As a follow up to my last post. We were told we had no PSR concerns this season and were on the look out for a Wilson replacement. The Isak situation threw that into disarray but with his fee covering the two incoming strictest would that not leave us with the money originally marked for the Wilson replacement still available to spend?
-
Doesn’t the Isak fee cover Woltemade and Wissa?
-
An overpay but to be expected after the situation Isak put us in. Overall we’ll be stronger with Wissa and Woltemade compared to Isak and Wilson (on account of Wilson not offering anything) though Isak is better currently on an individual level maybe in time Woltemade can reach those levels.

Would be happy if we were the complication.
-
I don’t get this line of thinking, we were prepared to bid if one of them was out for any significant amount of time which suggests we don’t have the cover but won’t bid now because there isn’t a long term injury.

A creative midfielder not another box to box type.

What’s all this Kroos talk all about?
-
Just checked and he’s got four more years left on his contract which takes him to 26 years old which is peak years. Pick him up on a free then if he wants to come home.

Would be happy with Wissa/JSL and someone like El Khannous (don’t think we need another high energy box to box type as we have many of those).
