Do we think Geremi is being brought in as first choice right back, If so why the interest in Habib Beye? Unless of course Beye will be brought in to play centreback. Not very clear what Allardyce is planning, guess things will become clearer in due course.

If both deals come off in addition to the already signed Viduka, Barton, and Rozenhal then this will be on one of the best transfer windows in recent memory. Plus there's the possibility of Geremi. Can't wait for the new season. We could be right in the mix if we can keep hold of Owen and Martins (or am I getting carried away?).

Is martins clause confirmed though? I recall Allardyce saying Owen had one but nothing mentioned about MArtins.

Hopefully we can improve on the full back situation and get in another centre back or two, defensive mid, and maybe an attacking mid. Edit: just to say that Babayaro included based on him being the only natural left back we have. Hopfully he won't be here much longer.

Owen obviously doesn't feel this way. The fact that Allardyce has come out and said this publicly probably indicates Owen and his people have been trying to engineer a move. What other reason would Allardyce say this for other than to bring it to a head and get things sorted one way or the other? Get rid of him asap and bring in another striker who wants to be here.
