Good result for us () if it stays all square.

I wonder whether Pardew might revert to the mentality of those Spurs/Chelsea games, and have us absorb pressure before trying to nick one late on, especially with Swansea missing a few key men up front.

In the top 1,000 overnight. Enjoying my fifteen minutes

Weren't even especially fluid going forward, and it was pretty ugly to watch in truth (bar the bit after Sissoko hit smashed it in) but hey another win.

Pleasantly surprised and impressed at the maturity the side showed after re-establishing the lead. That period of passing and making them work really hard to get the ball was the best of the match IMO.

If it his last season, we need to have a Wrestlemania-esque "World Cup 2014" sign for him to look up at on the final day of the season at full-time.
-
Another good display. Feel quite confident in those moments when midfielders try to swarm him while he's shielding the ball lately.
-
Santon's slide tackle running towards the byline which hit Amalfitano in the kisser and went out for a Krul goalkick.
-
Improvement, but was pretty bad for the early part of the second half (along with many others, it must be said). Really good first half.

Maybe some people expect more than a few lay-offs from a forward. He's passing well and dominating opposition defences too.
-
Are people so entrenched in their views they can't admit he's doing well - as though doing so would invalidate any past justified criticisms?

Need some fresh legs.

Good possession here

Goal of the Month Sissoko!

Colo out wide for no real reason.

Amateur hour, but great finish from Brunt.

Don't really know what to make of that. We look dangerous-ish, but it's a very scrappy(/shite) game. They don't look like offering much, most likely to get a goal out of a rick of our making if anything - the chances of that increasing if we drop off second half as seems to be the trend. Suspect Pardew will have one eye on the midweek, and hope he realises the best way to keep this XI fresh is for them to be in possession, not chasing WBA. We look capable of more, and whilst it hasn't been entertaining, I wouldn't call that a crap half as such. Very bland though. Got a lot of stick lately, but I thought Santon was our man of the half. Cabaye has passed it very nicely too.
