It's not like it's all Pardew's fault or not at all. It's just that even with injuries, Europe and investment from January onwards etc - we should have been no where near the drop zone. That much is Pardew's fault and it far outweighs any other factor several times over.

Waste of beer, that.

If your aim is to dominate games for 90 minutes you're living in cloud cuckoo land.

Is there anything to stop one of the billionaire owners from letting one of their small children register to play in the Premier League and requesting they be substituted on to take/score a penalty one day when Citeh are three-nil up against someone?

anything which helps shine a brighter light on the magnitude of Pardew's failure can only be good

Even if it doesn't get dealt with, so what. Forum is crazy. You just have to accept that some days the mackems will beat you 3-0 on your turf, and some days Liverpool will beat you 6-0 on your own turf. Some days Arsenal will stick 7 past you, and other days you'll make a team full of internationals scrap to avoid a relegation place with Norwich and Wigan in the penultimate game of the season. These things just happen, and if fans don't unrelentingly throw money at the club they CLAIM to support and have a good time with the most optimistic of all possibilities at the forefront of their minds, tongues and keyboards... they're not real fans, they're crazy forum folk. Also, we risk a disgrace beyond seeing Paulo Di Canio slide across our pitch on his knees... other people might think we're impatient or deluded! Fans should accept they have no power and enjoy life instead of constantly reaching for their razor blades.

I'll make a "WE GRATEFULLY ACCEPT WHATEVER SHITE WE'RE SERVED" banner on a blanket sewn together out of my payslips. That'll look good, actually. You going to be there? Working weekends atm. Wary of putting money into the club while the owners continue to take the piss anyway though. Ah right. Never mind then. Thought that counts. Okay.

Was thinking of starting a 'Player of the Season' or 'End of Season' report card type thread, but then realised that no one would get more than 6 or 7 out of ten. I don't think that the "being under Pardew" factor is exculpates any of the players from blame for a shoddy season, but I think it'd be rash to lay into any of the players too heavily IMO. was thinking of starting a less optimistic thread: Which player disappointed you most? Was leaning towards Santon because I thought (and still think) he has such enormous potential. Really thought he'd kick on, especially on the defensive side of his game. He was burnt out by January, and mentally just absent from February from the looks of things.

No idea. You've got to ask Ian himself. SketchOfBlackKidWoahGIF.jpg

No. Come on man Dave, that's ridiculous. Obviously he means that he is so relieved that we've survived, nothing else matters. He was a bit silly to say it, but I doubt anyone outside this forum has given it a second thought. It's a bleedthrough of his pitifully low ambitions though Ian. As a standalone item it may be forgivable, but in the context of a season which proven him to be a thoroughly reprehensible, incompetent coward of a manager and a man - it's offensive to the club. Should be hounded out through the strongest protests possible at the earliest opportunity.

cheers mate

Fuuuuck  Saw this thread jump forward three pages and got excited. It was just quotes of him: - not caring if we lost 4-0 next week - and being grateful we're not in Europe next season It's Yao or cry time.

Williamson - good lad. Got no slack that others have been afforded when he played an absurd amount of games with no rest.

Wigan for me. The McManaman challenge and subsequent handling by Martinez and Whelan is enough for me to want them Pompey'd. I was happy to see Birmingham relegated after they won a cup. They were defence-minded twats for ages - an eyesore in the league. I'm unashamedly bitter about Wigan winning a trophy - but the blame for that actually lies with us - not them. Similarly to the Sunderland situation (above), given our monumental shitness, I now care enough about Wigan clambering above us in the race for sustained success (which is a horrific/absurd notion to contemplate even in theory), that I am keen for them to disappear into the Championship and beyond for 100 years of darkness. To their credit they play football the right way - but that also makes them more of a threat to NUFC The Haidara stuff was shit, but I expect most clubs/people in football defend their own. It's understandable if not correct. The likes of SBR are rare now. Football is full of dicks. Could just as easily have been Pardew and Dekka with the same indefensible horseshit that Martinez/Whelan came up with, on another day.

Best league in the world I think you'll find NEEJ you heretic. No one is banging that drum anymore, or has banged that drum for a while. Even the likes of Jamie Redknapp aren't daft enough to spout such untenable shite.

Very glad to see Hughton steer Norwich safe. Super job keeping probably the second-worst squad in the Premiership up with none of the help of first-season syndrome. With investment over the summer, hopefully he'll finally be given a fair crack of the whip to lay down his marker and see just how good a Premiership manager he is/can be. Torn for who I want to go down in the remaining games. Probably the mackems. Winning 3-0 at SJP has demoted us into their league and I've been reduced to being petty (ie. caring where they finish at all).

Now we're officially safe, by consensus, the thread title should be changed to 'Alan Pardew - Get out of our club you charlatan PR man wanker'

Chuffed for the club staying in the division - which makes me feel dirty, in a way. To be so pleased by such a lowly achievement. My confidence in our ability to put points on the board has been decimated though. The timing of the season stopping is a Godsend. A few more rounds of fixtures and I think QPR are the only team that wouldn't catch us. Horrific performance today - thank feck for HBA/Gouff. Pardew is a wanker.

Scholes is on a different planet to Lampard. Well done to him for breaking the club record though.

What world are you/they living in? A season like last season is never going to lead to sustainable success. Bloody hell.
