  1. This mental adjustment is going to take a good old while.
  2. Saw this too. Absolutely incredible. We've had cup contests over the years with teams two or three divisions below us who we've been less favoured against. (And with good reason, we usually sucked in those matches).
  3. Interesting to see what the preseason narrative is over who the top teams will be for 2023/24.
  4. That wasn't even that good a performance, man. But we absolutely hammered them by the end of it. Water is wet etc, but Eddie Howe deserves a lot of credit for that performance, and the season. With three games in a week, against a side with limited quality, Bruno hobbling around, Burns oot, Longstaff down every other minute... he rotated players out, kept Isak fresh. Kept Wilson's confidence and goalscoring form, has convinced Murphy he's Robert Pires, and played this match completely right. He's made a paper thin squad into a team that has lasted a whole season playing okay (like today) or amazing (like Spurs) for nearly every fucking game. Unreal consistency, making so much of comparatively little.
  5. Not far off Arsenal's goal difference now.
  6. Ah, Schar deserved that man. He's been class with some of his passes lately. Deserves way more love than he gets.
  7. These fucking commentators been tranquilised or sommat? There are so many of these moments: and they ain't saying shit
  8. Like I've always said, Newcastle are so much fun to watch and support.
  9. The commentators were so relaxed about that goal.
  10. He's a fucking Thierry/Kanu hybrid.
  11. ISAKKKKK hahahahahahahhahahahahahhahhah
  12. That was like a Shao Kahn sledgehammer of a header
  13. Almiron's been shocking. Looks like he is trying avoid contact today. Overall apart from the end, that was an okay performance, managing the overly-physical opening period from Everton. Not much quality on the ball, but good defensively. Everton resorting to pot shots from distance.
  14. This is ideal IMO. This team needs to be forged in fire and have the experience of leading, having pressure and winning with our destiny in our own hands. One day we could be in Arsenal's shoes, with Man City breathing down our necks - and this kind of experience could be helpful. Even if the equivalent is the refs escorting Liverpool into our wake this year
  15. NUFC have come so far but when I see Citeh play like this I get proper "is this the world of Pro Heroes?" vibes (Deku seeing All-Might Vs Nomu)
  16. Think Arsenal need a bit more incentive to play more attacking football, rather than be passive and let the game happen. Obviously dangerous as there's the threat Man City pull away, but prior to the goal way too many passes going sideways and backwards. Uncharacteristic.
  17. Wonder if NUFC can finish second
  18. This game definitely has Von Miller vs Cam Newton vibes. @Shak I think NUFC broke Spurs.
  19. So unproductive yesterday. Just reading and watching the same stuff over and over again.
  20. Forgot about this so looked it up: Amazing tbh. HBA, bloody hell.
  21. Few more of those well-timed swerving runs across the opposition's backline
