  1. Why do commentators have such hubris and pride in admitting error and correcting their misstatements when they show replays? Instead they steadfastly stick to whatever their initial conclusion/statement was - irrespective of the footage shown on the replay.
  2. Really good cross and build up, but Everton were a bit defensively all at sea there.
  3. Yeah, didn't look too serious. Just limping a bit after colliding with N'Gog IIRC.
  4. Vermaelen crocked again then? He came off with a knock against Bolton midweek.
  5. Torres, Sturridge, Mata? Chelsea will destroy Arsenal's defence free from the encumbrance of the suspended Didier.
  6. Seems a little arrogant of Man Utd. Everton don't have mountains of pace in their midfield, but they have skill and endeavour to hurt them on the counter nonetheless. Hope they do 'em.
  7. Would you only keep the profit off that prospective free tenner bet, or the stake + profit?

  17. 14th The Wolves thing is because McMackem is under fire. They'll always back managers under fire to turn it around. Old boys' club.
  18. Aguero to score Norwich Spurs -1 Bayern -1 Valencia Olympiakos PSG Barca Real Madrid Sporting Sevilla Rosenborg and a Man City single
  19. In fairness, the impression Bolton/Stoke/Blackburn get of Colo must be much worse than the rest of the league. He has struggled with physicality previously. Not always of course.
  20. It's very nice to have some players who can strike from range (after what seems like a long drought). I'm thinking of Cabaye and Ben Arfa in particular, but even Obertan, Tiote and Marveaux are beginning to strike from the edge of the area (albeit with less quality/power/direction!). I think firing in really low and direct shots/cross-cum-shots might be very potent against Stoke. In addition to getting around full-backs, they're not fantastic technical defenders so firing balls low into their box will undoubtedly give them more problems than lofted balls - even from wide areas. Their strength in defending is brute strength and congestion - a bit of Luck o' the Lampard (read: deflection luck) might not go astray if we can conjure some space on the edge of their box.
  21. I fear this fairly key issue will be swept under the rug and overshadowed by the gutsy effort to resuscitate the game in injury time and extra-time. Conceding so early really pisses me off.
