Our Defence were class last night and against probably the best team in the world! Nobby and Taylor in particular were awesome as usual lately Ramage was very strong and Hunty did very well too! If we start Nobby Taylor Ramage + New brilliant LB next season at the back i'll be very happy as long as we get in some decent back up, hunty being one of them.

desperate for a LB and a 'Big man' striker and possibly a CB too in Jan the rest can wait for now. Would like Luke young from Charlton if we can get him (probably won't sell till end of the season though now. We are not desperate though as Nobby looks great there. Matty Taylor from Pompey if they'll sell (or a swap for Shambles would be a dream!!). Dystin too. Then a 'Big Man' striker - Not Viduka!! Some up and coming ideally!

Taylor!! Ramage very usefull though and Hunty looks very promising. Haven't seen the Edgar and Gate but they sound promising.

.com says that hopes are high for Dyer, Emre, Parker, Duff and Nobby. Sib and Zoggy out though IF (could be a big IF) they all actually do make it. Its going to be tough finding room in the starting XI for Parker, Emre and Butt. Depends on who's the fittest i suppose, but f they all are i'd go: Given Nobby Taylor Ramage Baba Milner Parker Emre Duff Martins Dyer Subs Pav Hunty - impressive debut, but Nobby's been fantastic at RB. Butt (doesn't deserve to be benched i know) o'brien - think he needs another shot Rossi/Pattison/Luque Good team imo!! Very pacey, full of creativity and energy. Not enough height though (Hunty would provide that but i'd still start with the above). Predicted MOM - Emre (if he plays).

I'd play Hunty and RB. Taylor & Ramage both started there, best place to blood a CB imo, less pressure and responsibility, starting him in the centre is asking for a thrashing. They may even arguably make a decent partnership yet but that remains to be seen.

This is a much better point !! He was injured but think he's back in training now. If our injury problems are as a bad as they can be i.e. if Zoggy's out for throwing an apparent punch and parker, emre, Duff and Nobby are out as expected he could actually start i suppose at Chelski.

Before i saw him play RB i'd not have been too bothered if he went. RB was the position i most wanted us to strengthen. Now i've seen him play there the urgency is not as great Nobby's been a revelation there and he has to play there as he gives us another dimension with his excellent passing and reading of the game I'd still flog Car when we have a replacement if i could and bring either someone through the ranks or get a young up and coming RB in as back up.

His bleating is as bad as Soumess's, kamara went though all three decisions he claimed went against them and Kamara was bang on to say that all three were correct. Martins wasn,t offside and neither was Taylor and the foul on martins was clearly to deny a goalscoring chance.

So why do you think we perform better when he's NOT playing? I don't think we do, most of the games quoted above were when Shearer and Roeder took over from Soumess, we were a completely different team then! Butt has been brilliant lately so has Emre, we DO need three excellent CM with our workload and injury record though)! Parker has still been our best outfield player so far this season (as he was by miles last season), typified by his awesome performance V Watford in the Cup. He's been out for a few games injured and has been bad mouthed by some. He'll be back soon though, he'll put in a couple of awesome shifts and they'll be all sorts of attempted back peddling, absolute rubbish talked to explain why he looks so good but really isn't and the fickle ones will change there minds yet again. Everyone's entitled to their opinion its true, i'm quite confident i'm right on this one, Parker is a very very good player its up to Roeder to play him correctly and get the best out of him and we will yet again very soon. Some people have very short memories or are not happy with the true rubbish i.e. Car, Shambles and Luque being bad mouthed so unbelievably they start on the likes of Parker and Emre who are our world class players.

If all the above are availiable and parker is still out then you've got it right. However Baba may be banned and taylor or the Sib could yet be struggling.

Mark my words!!! Those slagging off Parker will live to regret their words. Because Parker is a quality player and along with Given has been our best and most consistant so far this season, just as they were by miles last season, he always gives 100% and hasn't just won another england cap because he is crap!

When we need to go all out attack that could be employed.

Moore's not too bad, a bit slow half decent back up till the end of the season. You need to watch a re-run of the Fulham at home video amongst hundreds of others to know that Shambles should have been booted out of Toon long before Boumsong even arrived!! Ramage is no LB but at CB he and Taylor look class imo hopefully they'll remain there for some time, we just need some decent back up for them now!!

Add Given in Goal and thats absolutely spot on imo!!

On tonights performance i'd drop Milner. gave away possession a lot and never really beat his man or got a cross in all night. Same old Milner, then? Absolute rubbish Milner played well last night and was one of the reasons (along with Emre and Nobby) our strikers had so many chances. Zoggy was very poor though so if Dyer did make a recovery it would be for him imo don't get me wrong i really rate Zoggy but he has not been firiong on all cylinders this season.

I have seen him play abysmally for us many times. hmmm i suspect you may be a pro Luque or Bramble?
