He doesn't do tap-ins, does he? Wow he can strike a ball, not seen confidence in finishing like that in a long time. I won't make the comparison but you probably know who I'm thinking of.
It's pretty hard to fulfill homegrown restrictions with players trained at the club who can actually do a job as a squad player, he's worth a lot more to us than any other club tbh.
It takes a while because it'll be the medical, promotional photos, preparing press releases, potentially media coaching, social media, getting the key persons (board) on-site for photo opps etc.
This is probably downright wrong, but ever since that poor chap who lost his life (Sala), I'm literally not counting my chickens on transfers till I see them photographed in the club itself.
Best player on the park for us vs the best sides in the league/world. Agree it'd be great to see this fantastic form continue over the next few games/season though.
I worry however that some of his ability is a result of a 'lack of training', in that he's just doing everything that comes naturally and playing with complete freedom. As he becomes embedded and settles in as a CM, all the new training drills and the like he'll be doing may take away that raw, natural play to his game and it might constrain him a bit. Hopefully my concerns are completely unfounded and he goes on to be as great as we hope he can be based off the last few games.
Anyone remember back to when QPR were low in the league, came into some money and splashed a major amount of cash. Hope we can do it better.
