  1. Yes, to a degree, but it is all part of making home games all important, do they not do this in Spain? To be completely honest, I have no idea. I know that the Barça home dressing rooms have a jacuzzi and the away ones don't, though! And an open bar and plenty of hookers!
  2. Yep, best we can hope for is that Hughton plays Nolan up top off the striker. Simpson Williamson Coloccini Van Aanholt Routledge Guthrie Smith © Jonas Nolan Lovenkrands
  3. Was never unhappy that Shearer is not the manager. I was quite happy that he didn't get the job and I am still happy about his absence. I doubt we would be top of the Championship with him at the helm.
  4. Ok, no more complaining about Ronaldo sidetracking threads. Quit baiting, and he'll quit biting. Thank you.
  5. Ten more and he'll match the total outlay for one Luque.
  6. [Fragment Targum Exodus 12.42] Well, that or 40 years in the desert.
  7. I hope you are right. But Hughton's started Nolan virtually every league game that he's been available either in central midfield or playing off the striker. As long as we're top the league, I'm not sure he'll make the change. And I gather Nolan along with Smith is something of a clubhouse leader, which may mitigate against a change. But you're right about Hughton trying different things. When he took over temporarily last season he started Xisco, didn't he? I don't think he'd even made an appearance and Hughton started him two or three times immediately after taking over.
  8. Dunno but that Moses lad was wank for half his career before he went to Chelsea. Yeah, but who's better Ranger or Beckford?
  9. OM paid something like £3M for Drogba. Really, stop digging a hole for yourself. Drogba was not "wank" for most or even half his career. Admit you are wrong and move on.
  10. Aye it must devistate you man People trying to be condescending while making basic SPAG errors... Yeah, it must be hummilliating for them.
  11. I thought Arsenal were supposed to be the front runners? Still. Remarkable that he hasn't been snapped up.
  12. Most of them are skint to be fair. Was listening to the radio last night and the mackems thought they were in for him. It was a horrible :fwap:fest of "I spotted Victor Moses" in the Bridges if emails to the legends were to be believed. Selling Jones and buying him wouldn't be such a bad move?
  13. Funny somebody remarked on the Where You From? topic about how there were so few NUFC fans in Scotland. More in Scandinavia than Scotland, or something to that effect.
  14. I suspect that Donovan will stay so long as he is successful and plays regularly. The minute things turn south, he'll be heading back to LA. Shame that Brian McBride wasted his career in MLS--he's the one that might of really done well. You realise that McBride played in Fulham for years, right? He was already past it his prime at that point. Had an opportunity at Everton before that he should've taken. But even at that point he was already past 30. Wasted his career in MLS.
  15. Moses Ameobi Routledge Jonas Smith Guthrie Could work... Anything to break up the Nolan-Smith "engine"
  16. That striker being, of course, Carroll.
  17. Crystal Palace apparently play 4-3-3 with Moses up top on the left. Perhaps we could use both Jonas and Moses that way. Well, anything that might break our reliance on that Nolan-Smith "engine"
  18. Good point. That is what we were told, but I was never one to put too much faith in club statements. If the club pulls this off I will feel a bit more optimistic about the club's future. Williamson and Routledge seem to be go buys under the circumstances. And we avoided throwing stupid-money after Beckford, which was a very good thing IMO.

  20. Weiss, Holden, and Moses. Coyle would have done very well.
