  1. The longer this goes on-- the better for it is for us, Everton, Man City, Blackburn, etc. If things are as bad as some have speculated, they're in a no win situation. If there is a competent replacement available, they should make a change as quickly as possible and not let this drag on. Either way, they've already screwed the pooch.
  2. Geremi -- Taylor -- Rozehnal -- N'Zogbia ---- Milner---- Barton ---- Emre ---- Martins ---- Shola ---- Duff A lot would change if Viduka gets in shape, if Owen comes back strong, if Enrique is class, if the club signs Belletti, Deco, etc. Belletti -- Taylor -- Rozehnal -- Enrique Milner---- Barton ---- Emre/Deco :giggle: ---- N'Zogbia/Duff Martins/Owen ---- Viduka/Shola
  3. From what I've seen this season so far... yes, I'd pick Shola over Viduka right now.
  4. No, not at all. But you do know that he (Alex) signed for Chelsea/PSV 3 years ago (2004) and Arnesen didn't move from Spurs to Chelsea until mid 2005. No? The understanding is that Arnesen found Alex for a company owned by Abramovich who signed him up (same way Tevez is 'owned') and they loaned him to PSV because he didn't have a work permit, Chelsea had the option to buy him for £1. I would have typed this earlier but I was posting off my phone and couldn't be arsed to go into it, so did you know of Alen before he went to PSV? The first I saw of Alex was playing for Brazil I think-- may have been a friendly or an under-21 or something. But that may have been after his move to PSV. Certainly never saw him at a Brazilian club. Arnesen was working for Abramovich and for Tottenham concurrently? I've never heard that. That would be a major scandal wouldn't it?

  6. Yes, I did. Surprised that you knew that. Claiming that you'd never heard of the guy. My understanding is that Chelsea has some kind of buy out clause that they could choose to exercise or not.

    Want Diouf?

If Sam wants him, then I want him. Obviously talent is not the issue. Allardyce knows better than anyone if Diouf is a player that can succeed here.
  8. No, me either. But Dutch football and the Champions League, I do follow.
  9. As a person who was disappointed with Smith against Aston Villa, I'd like to point out that I am not scapegoating nor was I predisposed to to see him fail. I am very happy that we signed him--wanted us to sign him before he went to Man United, etc. A lot of people were blaming Butt... but, personally, I was disappointed in Smith and Viduka. We'll do pretty well I think when Emre and Barton return... and when Zog and play on the left wing.
  10. Man Utd, West Ham, Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea
  11. RE: Geremi as captain. Not a mistake. He should play every week.
  12. Carr - 5 Taylor - 7 Roz - 7 Zoggy - 6 Smith - 5 Butt - 6 Geremi - 6 Milner - 8 Viduka - 4 Martins - 5 at first blush Shola should start.
  13. Butt was not the MOTM. Wasn't that bad though. Big disappointments for me was Smith and Viduka.
  14. I've been disappointed in Smith and Viduka. Don't know what change we could make though.
  15. As opposed to that edge-of-the-seat excitement delivered by Stephen Carr? I'd rather be bored to tears.
  16. We are football fans we have no morals once a player previously known as t*** puts our colours on we forgive. we dont forgive.........did you hear many chants of lee bowyers name ? we put up with................ ...and if Lee Bowyer had been anything better than shit?
