  3. Seen this on FB and though its worth supporting. We got the shop We'll be opening in the city centre in July. We'll take donated sportswear & equipment and sell them from our shop that will be staffed by volunteers who will be 16-24 year olds not in education or training (NEET), disabled people, ex offenders or those at risk of offending or being groomed for county lines. All those people will get put on a fitness or sports programme plus an ETE plan with the college to make sure they benefit from a healthier lifestyle and get real qualifications that actually get them into full time paid employment. Inside the shop we're also gonna have the NE1 TV community multimedia studio (also tied in with the college) to provide opportunities and qualifications for those with an interest in creating content. We'll use the proceeds from the sales of the sportswear & equipment to provide sporting opportunities in the less affluent areas in the whole region. If you're a Newcastle United fan about to go to Sports Direct you come to us first... That's the rules!
  4. Can anyone confirm if this is true?
  5. Should have used the private jet
  6. Author of 11 goals this season, in 26 appearances, Hugo Ekitike (19) is promised a bright future. His departure from Reims during the next summer transfer window is no longer in doubt and was confirmed by Jean-Pierre Caillot this Monday in the columns of L'Union : "The file is following its course and it will be transferred" , assured the president of Reims. It remains to be seen where the young French striker will continue his progress. At PSG, the last candidate proclaimed? "He has the qualities to one day join this type of club, but I think it's still too early" , replies Caillot, who would on the other hand see him sign in Newcastle, interested since last winter: "It 's typically the kind of environment where he could continue to grow and move on." More than 20 M€ and a percentage on resale While Ekitike only has two years left on his contract and played little in the second half of the season due to injury, how much are Reims claiming? "The amount should be more than 20 million euros. Afterwards, you have to know how to be reasonable" , confides Caillot, before specifying that Reims also wants a percentage on a future resale. Last winter, the president of Reims said he wanted €30m + €10m in realizable bonuses as well as 25% on a future resale. It therefore seems to have lowered its requirements. In addition to PSG and Newcastle, several other European clubs would be on the lookout, from West Ham to Dortmund via Bayern Munich. But according to L'Union, the two German tracks have cooled down.
  7. We only have 50 million budget so not sure how that's possible

  9. Out of interest would you all be so annoyed if he said Lee Cattermole?
  10. Intrigued to see how we fit £20m Henderson, £30m Botman, £25m Lodi, £50m Paqueta, £20m Harrison, £25m Ekitike and £30m DCL into our "£60m budget"
  11. Is there a reason we can't sign both?
  12. Lodi getting injured few weeks after the window closes.

  14. Newcastle trying to persuade Lucas Paquetá to join As reported by BUT, Newcastle United are trying to convince Lyon attacking midfielder Lucas Paquetá to join the club this summer. Newcastle approached the player in January, when the Magpies were in relegation trouble, but the 24-year-old Brazilian was unconvinced. The English club, however, did sign fellow OL midfielder Bruno Guimarães, a great friend of Paquetá’s who has made no secret of his desire to see the Brazilians reunited at St. James’s Park. Although PSG are also keen on the midfielder, Newcastle are hoping that they will be able to persuade the player to join them and again sent scouts to watch him in person during the 3-2 win over Nantes last weekend.
