  1. Ince hasn't been given anywhere near a fair chance. He's not exactly had much money to spend and his best players seem to be injured at least half the time. I think he will turn out to be a decent manager but what chance to people have to prove themselves if they are only getting this long to do it?
  2. Hopefully Faye will have his hands full grappling with Viduka's arse which will leave Owen and Oba to run off him and score a hat-trick each.
  3. Cheltenham v Crewe Match Prices * 3.30 * Crewe Arsenal v Wigan Goal Handicap * 3.50 * Arsenal (-2) Milton Keynes Dons v Scunthorpe Goal Handicap * 3.80 * Milton Keynes Dons (-1) Newcastle v Stoke Goal Handicap * 3.10 * Newcastle (-1) Don't worry I haven't put much cash on it. 3.1 for a -1 is decent for us though, especially if all our strikers are playing and up for it.
  4. He would have to be blowing JK away in training to get ahead of Martins, Owen and Viduka. It'd be nice to see him get a fair bit of game-time coming off the bench, if we can afford to (i.e. if we're comfortable enough, and it's worth taking one of the aforementioned forwards off). For what it's worth PhysioRoom has him down as doubtful for the Stoke game. Same goes, in all seriousness, for Nile Ranger if he's still playing well at reserve level. And LuaLua. RM - We are in a relegation fight we cant be giving game time away in the PL for players to adjust or grow as we have to wing games or at least not get beaten. Wegner rarely f***s around in PL by giving his League cup kids a run out for 10 or 20 mins in the PL. Hear Hear. We are not in a position to gamble on those unproven yet in the Premier League. I agree mostly - but if we're three or four goals up with ten minutes to go, I see no harm. Although I do admit, there's more chance I'll win the lottery this weekend - and I haven't even bought a ticket. I was gonna say something then I saw the bit about the lottery ticket.
  5. Don't see why not. If the front three can provide the same shape that they did under Keegan and we have 2 hard working midfielders like Jonas and Barton alongside Butt then I think we should go back to it.

  7. Gordon Strachan walked out of the press conference when they asked him if he was going to them.
  8. Precisely. That's been my thoughts since this all happened.

    The UEFA CUP

It's really shite these days. I watch it because it's football but I have no interest in it. It needs revamped, isn't the name changing next season infact? Is the format changing at all?
  10. Shay, once again proving our most important player. If we had an average keeper we would be in big trouble.

    Oba...Obafem

Hope we try out the 3 man attack again. Can't see JK favouring it though. Think it is more than a viable option at home anyway and I still think Jonas will excel in a 3 man midfield.

    He's back?

He can fuck off, even if he does spend a bit of money in January that hardly makes up for the total fuckup of a mess were in right now does it? The only way I would be happy to see him back is with a top class manager in charge with enough money to spend as he needs and this sham of a backroom staff booted out.
  13. That's pretty much spot on and what I would like to see. A settled defence with a proper holding midfielder and then the extremely industrious Jonas and Barton alongside him bombing up and down. Then Owen behind the strikers like Keegan had and we have a good starting team that will score goals. We are desperately short of back up though like you have pointed out.
  14. Would of been much more surprised if he had been leaving before the end of the season. Good luck to him, doing a good job so far. We can't move forward until we are sold so we will continue to tread water until then. The longer it takes the less chance we have of holding onto certain players and the worse off we will be. Happy days, nice one Mike.
  15. Good luck to him tonight, would be some achievement.
  16. Think it could easily go either way tonight tbh. Wigan have a fair few players now capable of winning games with a bit of individual skill and as people say, Everton are strong on the road.
  17. I really like it, we will never beat Chelsea playing open, expansive football at their ground. Man Utd and Liverpool don't go to sides like that and play that way either. The only way we could play like that is if we have that amount of money to buy an equally impressive squad and then choose to play like that which is unlikely even then to get the points.

Wishful thinking.
  19. Milner, one of the few players who would always give 100% and despite what people say on here is a good player.
  20. It was in an article in the Owen pissing off thread, from The Chronicle I believe. Journal actually.
  21. Why would he actually go out there to lie on purpose? Because the people paying his wages tell him to. Aye that's what I was thinking.
  22. “Things have gone on and hopefully after the Chelsea game I will be better (sic) in the picture. The club is almost sold so I don’t know what future I have. “If you listen to (Keith) Harris he says there is interest from two parties and he doesn’t expect it to go on longer than another couple of weeks.” JK talking shite again? I'm not sure if he knows anything more than we do tbh.
  23. Good news, quality players mean points. Andy Carrolls mean blue square premier league.
