  1. Yup handed in a transfer request
  2. Spot on Yorkie. The sad thing is that some of us are already ready to throw him under the bus for the slightest expression of unhappiness even if he follows it up by praising the club. Perhaps some prefer the usual cliche where football players only say good things, never mind how bullshit it is. I see no reason for him wanting to leave us and even less reason for us to sell him/swap with a more versatile player or/and crap like that
  3. I'll ask again, where is he saying that he is not happy?Any direct quotes?
  4. So we have an agent's quote that Ba is allegedly unhappy (contradicted by his very positive tweet) and then now suddenly Ba has an attitude problem and should be shipped out at the first opportunity. Glad some of you are not running the club, you'd have no player left to play!

How the f*** is that "taking sides"? Err perhaps because Mike and Decka obviously think that what we have is sufficient to carry us through to January. Unless you're suggesting that they are looking on gleefully whilst sabotaging us. And absolutely no need with the f***ing You miss my point. I think it's imbecilic to look at it as "sides". As "us" vs "them". f***ing imbecilic, in fact.. How the f*** is that "taking sides"? Err perhaps because Mike and Decka obviously think that what we have is sufficient to carry us through to January. I don't normally support the us vs them approach but that is how Pardew has presented his views when he said that we fans must realize that it was a good window ie that there are two 'sides' with different views and we're wrong. To miss that point, makes your position idiotic even if you try to mask it with using big words beyond your normal vocab. Now kindly fuck off.

Interesting, how would you rate Beardsley in comparison? Different of course, and it is difficult to compare players who both have sublime and unique talent. Saying what I said is in no way meant to be detrimental to players like Beardsley, Gazza, Tony Green, Ginola etc, who were of course wonderfully gifted footballers, but I just think that HBA takes it to an even higher level as far as natural ability is concerned. It's like he's a magician at times, doing things which are not really possible.

is it ligament strain which can take 2-3 months or the dreadful anterior cruciate ligament rapture which can take up to 8 months (whole season). Heard one commentator said the latter and got me worried
  9. That's really possible. Easy to say that he should be professional but you can see that he was as invested as we were to get Debuchy here and must have felt at least bit disappointed that we didn't push that bit further. I'm also worried that if we don't show that we intend to improve the team and move forward, then we'll start losing the likes of HBA, Ba and Cisse but that's for another thread

I wasn't happy with his latest statement that the fans should realize this was a good window and him firmly standing in the Mike and Decka's corner. I get it that there are two sides of the coin and that some (even on this board) do feel that it was a good window because we kept all our main players, but as manager there is no need for him to take sides and make us realize things which really sounds condescending. Whatever his intention was, lost some respect for him with that statement.
  12. I could think of one... Don't buy him and leave Liverpool with the problem of what to do with him to solve rather than us ending up with the exact same problem... You need to name 10 players who we can get below 12M before you're qualified to say that we could do better with 12M! Why?... I don't follow?... It was tongue in cheek mate, because that's the reaction some will tell you if you dare to have the opinion that Carroll is not worth 12M
  13. You're right, but if we go 4-3-3 with Anita, Tiote and Cabaye, then that presumably means sacrificing Jonas and I'm not sure that makes the first team stronger because I think Jonas plays a specific role which though unspectacular is essential to the way we play
  14. No need for the sarcasm, Anita does not strengthen the first team like what our rivals have done. He is useful but more as a backup to Tiote and Cabaye
  15. Most of our 'top 6 rivals' have made recent addition (Sahin just joined Liverpool). I'm one of those "lets wait and see till the end of the transfer window", but this is getting uncomfortable and worrying.

Although things are obviously not gonna work out for him here, can't help but feel that for whatever reason he wasn't given a proper chance to prove himself, didn't even get a few consecutive games going. Pity coz he looked decent in his last game for us against Villa and if memory serves me right, he got an assist and looked really up for it. Remember thinking at that time that that game might mark the change of his fortune here, not to be unfortunately as he was dropped in the next game.

Based on what HTT and Ronaldo think of Beardsley, what I want to know then is how does Beardsley compare to Messi because skill wise I don't think HBA is too far off from Messi. The only difference (which is of course rather important) is that Messi delivers in almost every game he plays (at least for Barcelona) whereas HBA does not show such consistency (yet).

Haven't seen enough of Beardsley at least not live in St James, but does he really dribble like HBA on a consistent basis?
  20. They must be our most lethal pair since Shearer + Ferdinand. They are such instinctive strikers. Either of them could go past 20. If they both do it (just serve them goat curry mixed with strawberry syrup), we're in for a special season!
  21. How can anyone not jeer him when he had loads of space in front and just decided to pass backwards as if saying "I'm too scared to go forward". Tiote (or was it Anita) passed it to him again as if to ask him to go forward and he just passed it back again. That incident to me sums up Obertan, don't have the intelligence to know what to do and don't have the heart and courage to go forward if it means even taking the smallest risk. Complete opposite to HBA

Can we just give him a rolling contract to end his career with us. He really is special and there's no way we will be able to replace him should he leave

But there has to be a line not to cross doesn't there ? A small shove or slightly harder one, none at all means clarity does it not ?. None at all means clarity, but why is clarity better than intelligent consideration of the situation? I expect he will get banned, and maybe football has to operate under such simple regulations, I don't know. But I think it's a shame if a minor incident settled with an apology between adults can't just be left at that. I don't think it would open the floodgates to wholesale ref pushing. Well because you know where you stand rather than the authorities trying to judge your intent or use of force. Not arguing its only a minor thing, just take the debate out of it and make it clear cut, no touching at all. I think you're half right. You're right that he should be fined/banned coz he crossed the line by touching an official. But just like red card ofences, the gravity of the action should be taken into account when deciding the length of the ban. In this case it was clearly an instant, almost automatic reaction in the heat of the moment (he would have pushed anyone in front of him, the linesman just happened to be that person) and which was quickly followed by an apology a few seconds later as opposed to a manager aggressively seeking out an official to push him because he wasn't happy with a decision.

I really don't get why some of us need to focus on the negatives even when our players do well. When Ba scored, some are focussing on how he apparently stropped off after HBA took the penalty as is therefore not a team player. When HBA scored (and played well), apparently he's only up for some games. Can't we just enjoy the victory and keep the pessimism away for one day.
