My main issue with him is his poor positional sense i.e. how he disappears once he tries to ineffectively attack. Good example was for the second goal against Wigan. He was nowhere to be seen initially he eventually did come back he was a few steps behind Tiote and of course it was too late as Wigan had 2-3 players just waiting to lash the rebound in. Ditto for the third goal when he was chasing shadows. Given that his runs upfield almost always produce nothing, I'd much rather he just stick behind the halfway line

A bit underwhelm with Hodgson's appointment. Although I thoroughly despise slappy face, can't help but feel he is the better manager. Hodgson's teams have not been terrible but they rarely do anything significant either and their style of play is a hotchpoch of many things without really exploiting the advantages of any particular style. For me, our games against Fulham for example are amongst the least interesting fixtures of the season. But maybe that is what England need, to go into a tournament with low expectations so that the press are not declaring us favorites even before the first kick off. All this does not change the fact that I'll be supporting Les Bleus though especially if HBA gets selected.

Spot on actually. When things click, Barcelona is awesome. But when they don't they just don't have a Plan B and that was awfully obvious against Chelsea. They just kept passing the ball in front of Chelsea's 9 man wall and occasionally tries to penetrate through some intricate one-twos but they had nothing else in their armory. Was also quite surprised that bar Messi's shot against the post, nobody else was shooting from distance. Surely that would have been worth a shot given that their passing game was not getting them anywhere. It's like the whole team has been so well drilled with tiki taka passing to the extent that they became robots and were not able to adapt/react to Chelsea's defensive game plan. They kept on doing the same thing over and over until the final whistle. Wasn't sure if I was watching Barcelona or Swansea in that game against Chelsea

Like hell are Chelsea winning a final minus Ramires, Terry and Ivan the Russian. In a one match CL final anything can happen. rarely does though. I would certainly class Chelsea favorites vs Bayern. Real Madrid maybe not, but if they can beat Barcelona over 2 legs I don't see how we can be so certain they won't be able to beat Real Madrid in a one-off..
