  1. Do you know where in Kent? No but i'll try to find out. My boss and his brother (more his brother) are friends with one of Dekka's sons. Sees them at family occasions a bit too. which brother bimpy ? Warren i think mate, whichever one is about 40. My bosses Brother was friends with a lad who's Dad was Dekka's brother in law (i think it is). Terrible story about about that actually, the lad my bosses brother was friends with died of adult sudden death syndrome while on holiday in Spain two years ago now. Happened on his 40th birthday, awful thing like. Did Mrs Bimpy had anything to do with this? :-)
  2. Get used to him making excuses as you put it. Doesn't mean he's not as desperate to win something as the rest of us. Right but the two are not independent of each other. Making excuses obscure the real problems of the team including inadequate players and Pardew's god awful tactics which then makes finding solutions to these problems unlikely. So the excuses are working against his desperation to win something
  3. Pardew screaming again that Cabaye us for sale for the right price. I really really hate the cunt!
  4. What a joke of a post. The Carroll worship continues. Not only are his technical skills (of which he has very little) exaggerated, now he's deliberately not scoring against us because "he loves us". Ya that's why he left us for Liverpool! You've had some idiotic posts but this one tops it all!
  5. You're right on the first part i.e. "Had Gouffran not ducked, the shot would have hit him.. making it offside". But how in the world is him ducking deemed an inteference with play? He neither blocked Hart's view nor blocked Hart's movement in any way. In fact look at the replay again, Hart was not even looking at Goufran and if anything he ducked away from Hart.
  6. Oh they remember alright. Some of them are saying that even the De Jong tackle was better because at least "he tried to get the ball", just went in a tad too strongly apparently!
  7. It was a bad tackle particular as he had a second bite at the cherry. If he wanted to stop Nasri getting away, a thug of his shirt would have done it, no need to hit the knees. But for Man Cunt fans to day that this was an assault with the malicious intent of getting the player injured intent is just way overboard. And when the same fans then say that even De Jong's leg breaker on HBA was more acceptable because "at least he tried to get the ball", then I can only say that is a class A idiot!
  8. Listen man, apart from the games against Man United and Palace, the only tactics Pardew knows is containment for 60-70 odd minutes playing negative football with sporadic attacks, then try to nick a goal late in the game through an individual piece of magic (HBA when he's still sober and Obertan or Ameobi when he's on glue). You've got to be stark raving mad to think that he'll come out with some attacking tactics or formation against City
  9. You lot just missed my point about English managers. I meant the style of play around the country in England, 90 percent of the country play this 'anti football'. I keep hearing sack Pardew and our next manager will get us playing attacking football but when asked for names i got Nigel Adkins and Billy Davies, so i'm guessing if he was sacked we want a foreigner as if that's the best these shores have to offer us then they can f*** right off People say managers with a high level of class players will get their teams playing the right way of football but then you only need to look at our international side and see the football Hodgson is producing. My point basically is if we sack Pardew and bring someone else in and he turns out to be a bog standard manager with no flair in his style, will you get behind him? If the results are positive but football is still on the whole rather plain and flat, will you be behind him? A lot of people forget i was in your position with Hughton, i wanted him out, i couldn't give a s*** if he was a nice guy or not, he was a bang average manager at best and i wanted someone different to come in to upgrade and take us to next level. He got sacked and i was delighted, then we announced Pardew and i was absolutely livid but after the moaning and groaning realised this is the way it's always going to be with Ashley so may as well just put up with it, hope he does a good job and get behind the players on the pitch. Pardew has actually done a far greater job then i ever imagined him to do, certainly didn't see a 5th place finish and travelling around Europe with him in charge Brett, please explain again why you're limiting the discussion to English managers? What's wrong if we got a foreign manager who is capable of building a team to play attacking football? I honestly don't get this whole discussion of English managers??
  10. Why is he not playing against Cardiff?
  11. We lost because Pardew is a coward even at home
  12. David Moyes is such a prick. Never a penalty in a million years!
  13. Because scoring goals (especially the amount that Ronaldo has) have nothing to do with being a good player? Let's not even go into his assists. How silly. You've also discredited your arguments with the nonsensical "goals on a plate" comment. If anyone did not watch the goals, based on your description, they've thought the goals were all tap ins. Far from it! The passes were excellent of course but all the goals were outside the box and Ronaldo showed good ball control, pace and scored with well placed shots. The first was a semi chip over the keeper, the second was a shot from an even tighter angle (even Ibra applauded the goal ffs) and the third was shot high into the net after dribbling past the keeper. If you refer to these goals as "on a plate", then you might as well just stop posting on Ronaldo because you clearly can't be objective at all.
  14. Have you started selling the tshirts yet?

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Anyone who thinks Pardew is worse than Souness just needs to recall how Souness decimated Bobby's team with the way he treated and ultimately sold Robert and Bellamy. Pardew hasn't gone that far down yet

Just 3 questions: 1) I'm curious based on what yardstick are you making the assessment that "almost every player sale has been inflated". Have you gone through most of the transfers and if true that most sales are "inflated", then isn't this just market price (buyer-seller agreement) and it is you who are underestimating the value of these sales? 2) You said "But the only way you will get success in this environment is continual astuteness in the market or be bank rolled by a sheikh.". So by that logic, teams who have decided to spend and strengthen their squad and yet are not bankrolled by "a sheikh" will not be successful? It will be interesting to see how teams like Everton do? 3) You said, "We have to make our dollars go further then every other club because we want to compete at a higher level then mid table mediocrity". How does that logic work? Because we want to go beyond "mid table mediocrity", we should spend less or none at all? So the other clubs who have spent to strengthen their squad do not aspire to compete at a higher level? Seriously, that's just bizarre logic
  17. Ian honest question, are you arguing for the sake of arguing with Memphis' post on which players should be italicized or in bold or do you genuinely think that we should be happy with our squad's 'strength'?

    Alan Pardew

He can't win? Give your head a shake man, it's win/win for him. If he keeps the job he can leave a rich man, if he gets sacked tomorrow he leaves a rich man. He can't win. I'm just talking about what he says after this window. It will get spat on however he spins it. I don't think any of us has a clue what he gets paid now or what he'd get if he got sacked. And tbh that wasn't the point of my post. Back to your original point, I don't think anybody would complaint or post what he says in the "Pardew excuses" thread if he came out and said that we failed in the transfer window and that he is now concerned that we have a weaker squad than last year. So no it's not a lose lose for him. BUT, if he comes out now and defend the transfer window with nonsense like we did well because we still have Cabaye or that we do have a strong squad that can compete in all competitions and then starts squeling like a gutted pig that our squad is weak and players are tired because of all the injuries sometime in November, then yes I do expect him to be roasted alive. In case you did not notice, this is exactly what happened last season.
  19. Whether we get a left winger/forward or an out an out striker depends on whether Pardew wants to play 4-4-2 or 4-3-3. If its the former as our default, then we really need someone to partner the off form Cisse whose name is not Shola (not sure either Gouf or Remy plays best as an out and out striker). If it is 4-3-3, then we really need a left winger/forward (unless Remy is already deemed to be that player despite being just on loan). The truth is we're getting no one and the only thing to watch out for this transfer window is whether we loose any player especially Cabaye. If nobody leaves, we'll just be told by a condescending Pardew and Kinnear that we should be happy because we have a good squad capable of challenging for the top x. Repeat and rinse
