  1. Best outcome is keeping Isak for a season but also getting Sesko. 2nd best getting Sesko and Wissa and Isak going to Liverpool. Getting Wissa and keeping Isak would just mean we have to find our main striker next summer - if much rather bed in Sesko this season with a view to buying a backup/2nd striker next summer
  2. Yay! So we are back to having potentially the best front line in the league then? Far cry from the atmosphere on here a few days ago
  3. I feel dirty for saying it, but I'm really desperate for a Romano 'Here we go!'
  4. Excited at the prospect of a 6'5 number 9!
  5. We dont need to. We have a guy on here who regularly updates us on how bad they are
  6. Ooh, Froggy is pulling out the RTG 'Mag at work' schtick
  7. He seems to have been labelled as just a powerful striker, but his link up play outside the box seems good too. I think he could fit our system well - he offers a lot of what Isak does (although not as well) but hes also tall and strong. There's always a chance a striker will flop, but he does look made for the Premier League
  8. So Liverpool said we will let you have Ekitike if you give us Isak. We said no, they signed Ekitike and now we have said yes? How does that work?
  9. Aye, but he's nearly 26, which is basically 27 when you think about it. I'm sure that's what i read on the Wissa thread
  10. Yeah, agreed. You can make anyone look shite too - search for Isak's last 20 shots on YouTube and he looks like absolute shite.
  11. I'm sure a similar video of Isak could be created
  12. I don't think that's true at all. Happy to be proved wrong if you have a source though
  13. In hindsight, the fact that we were in for forwards who we wanted pre Isak (Pedro and Ekitike) does suggest we knew there was an issue with him - either injury or him wanting a move
  14. Not really unrealistic. Would equal the world record fee, but for arguably the best striker in the world (who has 3 years to run on his contract) in the most inflated transfer market in history. I would like to see them argue it wasn't fair market value.
  15. Yeah, I think a lot on here would. It's the one area of the pitch we have real depth in. Plus, there seems to be tonnes of brilliant right footed, left wingers out there that we could replace him with
  16. £65m for Ekitike doesn't feel like a lowball offer tbh. I don't imagine Liverpool will end up paying much more.
  17. He looks like he could be a very good player, of a similar style but still leagues below Isak. I'm hopeful we have identified someone with the same skill set but at an earlier stage of their career - like Ekitike when we first moved for him
  18. I swear everyone on here used to fawn all over Ornstein- lots of 'I'll believe it when I see an Ornstein tweet'. Soon changes when he's saying something we don't like - now he's just a shill for Liverpool
  19. I think he will be off next summer, but it will be to one of the big European glamour clubs. Obviously Liverpool are a big club with a storied history and all that, but it's still based in Liverpool - it's never going to be able to compete with the likes of Madrid or Barcelona. 400k a week, but having to live on the Wirral is not comparable to being by the beach on the med.
