    Your understanding = what you read on an CPFC forum?
  2. While I'm far from wetting the bed I do feel we need some new faces in. Consistency in the playing team is all well and good, but all teams need to freshen up the squad with new signings - it doesn't just bring new talent to the starting eleven but it shows existing players we have ambition and gives them motivation to work for their place. I'm content to wait until the end of the transfer window before making judgement but I don't think anyone will be able to argue that we have failed in this window if the squad is still as it I now come Friday.

    I'm usually pro buying premier league experience, but £70m seems like crazy money. I'm joining the buy an unproven European wonder kid gang
  4. I quite like wingers playing on their correct side. Nice to see a player go to the byline on occasion.
  5. It's clear we're lacking pace at the back, so j would suggest he'd be a solution to that particular problem
  6. A new stadium??? I must have missed this too
  7. he had decent numbers last season TBF, but around £20m is surely a decent deal for them and fits their buy to sell model
  8. How much have Brighton spent this summer? Really seem to be going for it

    How much would people be expecting us to get for pre injury Botman if a big club came calling? I'm going to go out on a limb and say if it was less than £65m then the majority would say that wasn't enough?;

    My opinion on this is that they need someone in this season due to the Lascelles and Botman injuries, long term we also need a Schar replacement. By buying Guehi we are doing both and not taking up a squad place with someone who may be surplus to requirements in 1 or 2 seasons time
  11. Came across as a diving, cheating little turd at the Euros - much like Gordon did before he joined
  12. No, but it's a squad game. Longstaff will play 20+ league games this season

    Yeah - in general once the player has made his mind up a deal tends to be reached eventually.
  14. Will be really interesting to see How Brighton do this season. They are bringing in a fair few new players for decent money which is something of a change in approach. With the new teenage manager coming is as well it could go either way
  15. Aren't sell on clauses usually a percentage of profit?
  16. A club that tries. A player putting in the effort is the minimum we should expect. He's been an amazing servant to the club but as far as our first 11 goes he is clearly the weak link and needs to be the priority to move on. I agree he shouldnt be pilloried by his own fans but I see more people on here complaining about the hate for him than negative posts about him.

    Yeah. I was watching thinking I bet that fella is a hell of a guitar player!
  18. flush with money - potentially makes them less willing to part with Guehi. Hopefully its all done already though
  19. Not great for our pursuit of Guehi either

    Probably not, but he is premier league proven. He's better and younger than Kilman though who went for a similar amount to Todibo and DeLigt
