He's on the latest True Faith podcast and comes across great as he always does.

The best example of big team bias. He wins the league with Leicester, is their best striker, and top scorer and he can't get a game ahead of a Man United teenager. It's pathetic. Rashford has been excellent recently man, seems to make a difference. People complained that he got next to no time at the Euros, you can't win either way being England manager like.

Good choice of sub here. Walcott has been anonymous and Townsend's directness could nick this for us.

Dummett has been his #1 choice LB since he arrived. Didn't attempt to genuinely upgrade him either. I'm pretty sure that he did, just that person hasn't settled yet.

One thing I'll give him huge credit for is the change in his mentality. When he played for Sunderland I always thought he hid a lot and the derbies around that time he completely froze. I never had him down as captain material for a club, never mind England, so fair play to him as he's clearly put a lot of effort into improving those aspects of his game. He's definitely a good player to have around the squad.

The players understand football too. If you explain it right and say ‘You have to do this because this will happen’ and then it does, they will keep following you. But if you say ‘Play long balls, we will be fine’ and you lose they will not follow you. Who does that remind you of?
