What the fuck is all this sympathy bullshit? This is the guy who challenged Newcastle fans, a female one to boot, to fights and abuse when they simply questioned his King or tactics?

My Liverpool-supporting colleague broke the news to me as soon as I walked into the office here in Brampton. Ecstatic since, what a start to the day here in glorious Canada

His fault was having his tongue so far up this regime's arse that he failed to realise he will be shafted just like we all have been for years. He can spend the rest of his life with the bitter aftertaste...

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Best news in a while. Best decisive decision (?) by the club in years. Fucking wankers.

We need a well-tanned McClaren in his most crispiest of forms to get things kicked off.

Bobby Robson rejected the job twice. After Keegan left, and before we came back with an improved offer when he was actually appointed.

One of the way propagandists get away with rewriting history's worst foibles is by normalizing, in turn minimizing the impact of, any given atrocity, and then by acting as if even to debate these points is passé and unbecoming of an educated electorate. This is Cronky and his persistence of downplaying, and then laughing off, of McClaren's rejection of this job not once but twice, which to most of the people following this club was rightfully shocking behaviour, and needs to be brought up again and again so as not to have it rewritten as unimportant.

    Chicane articulates the situation perfectly.
  14. French journalists for some reason strike me as the marauding, fawning paparazzi of 1960s Rome, where any old soundbite will do when in the presence of anyone remotely famous. It's not just Sissoko, there have been a litany of quotes from most of our French contingent (except Gouffran, lol) whenever they cross the channel.
  15. It makes no sense why he wasn't even given a runaround in the last game after saving Carver's bacon with the single point in 10 games, and now neanderthals are considering sending him out on loan. Unbelievable, some people (including our coaching staff).

    The Spanish McClaren, tbh.

I think the HBA comment was aimed at the guy who said HBA wouldn't have gotten us a single point more than we got last season And no, the HBA Love In shall never be stopped. Deal with it.
  18. Blanc never played him in an advanced role, he was always the cleaner and the one to keep things ticking over behind more advanced midfielders for France.

Ba was the better overall striker and footballer, but his attitude when his compatriot started scoring, the subsequent hissy fit, and his constant flirting with 'bigger' clubs for more money, to me, has it down to way more cuntish behaviour than Cisse's "think about the children" spitting.

Makes no sense. Ba was a complete fucking cunt compared to the harmless Cisse, man.

From a neutral point of view, giving the job to an unknown quantity like Vieira would have looked even more risky, if a lot more exciting. I just don't think McClaren is as badly regarded in the rest of the country as he is here. Most people will think "Ex-England boss with a good reputation". I must admit I never really liked the bloke but I think he can coach far better than Pardew or Carver. Not sure if I agree, though I can see what you mean about neutrals not seeing it as such a bad appointment. There are far better, experienced coaches and managers available from the continent who could've been taken on merit and not dismissed as rookies.
