It might prove that his wisdom was right. In fact going off Joelinton's stats you would probably bet that way tbh. His potential is far better than his stats suggest though. Scary talent. You an expert scout? He is only 83 potential on fifa I just bet on a lot of European matches so I’ve watched a few of his. He’s far more talented than his stats suggest. Yet to find his defining role though I’ll be surprised if he hits the ground running ala Papiss Cisse.

Jean-Philippe Mateta is the one I wanted more than Joelinton, Saint-Maximin. Proper striker reminds me of Demba Ba. Joelinton will need time to make the striker role his best position.
-
And then Rafa has to be reappointed by default
-
So neither Joelinton or Almiron can speak English. At least we won’t have to worry about them understanding what Bruce is telling them to do

Just use Rafa’s system, swap Perez for S-M and Rondon for Joelinton? Won’t happen sadly I think it will be 3-5-2. It will suit some players like Shelvey less so Almiron if he plays him in midfield.
-
George Caulkin has already said Rafa “Liked Him” and that it was more a cost issue. Would Rafa have signed Joelinton if Perez left under him via the £30million clause? I’d assume probably in that/our situation.
-
Same then I thought no Rafa I’m not sure if I’ll even celebrate goals next season still absolutely fuming with the club.
-
Can’t wait to see the sell on value of a player that is already costing £40million Sale on value mostly comes from buying cheap and selling high. £40million is his potential not his current value. We’re already paying full whack for his potential.

Love this mental theory that Rafa Benitez doesn’t like young player you can sell on Rafa signed Koulibaly at 22 for £7m now worth £100million on his own. Rafa signed Jorginho at 22 for £8m now worth £50million. Also played a big part in coaching Longstaff into a potential £50million player. The work Rafa did on Longstaff out of possession doesn’t get enough credit on his value.

Hate their “Don’t tell us what to do or we’ll do the opposite” line. Sounds exactly the sort of line Mike Ashley would say
-
They have literally no idea why they still go, I’ve proved that with Seymour, he thinks because he sees the team giving 100% that enough for him....they gave it for their manager, it won’t happen with Bruce 100% I will be right. Has anyone else watched the GallowgateShots podcast on this subject

Does Shelvey not know he had a chronic recurring muscle injury all last season which meant he was unavailable for selection? I know Rafa is magic but he can’t just heal a man with a touch of his groin Facts are when he was fully fit over the last 3 years Rafa Benitez picked him for a large percentage of games. Shelvey just seems frustrated he was injured all last season.
-
Luke Edwards will somehow blame Rafa for that
-
Delph. I thought they’d spend way more. Best chance to break the Big 6 is this season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer & Frank Lampard might not even need great seasons to stay in the Big 6.
-
Best one yet. Let me guess Bruce wants him though and he’s known him since he was 7 so we can actually sign him now. Thank god Bruce came we haven’t got Rafa Benitez stopping us from spending anymore. Hahaaa.
-
Have Everton signed anyone yet apart from Gomes?
-
Billing to Bournemouth for £17million apparently.
-
Yeah looks like he’s going to desperately try and live off the Rafa Benitez back 3. Against West Ham in the friendly you could see our team shape is so well drilled in it. He’s still going to need to replace the goal contribution of Rondon & Perez though. Might just stay up it might go to the last game against Liverpool.. over to you Brucey

Not the most hated on the forum anymore
