In which case he's not good enough. It was a long, long time before the crowd started to turn on him (in terms of his career anyway).

must just be me who thinks the whole "haha, i dont know you but your mum is dead and in the ground, not the sky lolz" punchline is a bit low then. Very. There's lines you shouldn't cross. Like accusing people of racism? If you couldn't tell that was tongue in cheek and I was winding Greg up then I'd give up now if I was you. I knew you'd bite

Bringing off Bobby Charlton to save him for the Semi Final must come close.

Lampard, Gerrard, Torres, Vidic, Jagielka, Rooney Fellaini, Lennon, Bassong, Ireland, Young A, Collison

Ye, he was ok. I should have put Didier Domi in there, should never have let him go back to PSG, I thought he was class! Class act, but he went AWOL iirc. We didn't really have much choice with that one. I've got a feeling his career went a bit Bernard after leaving Newcastle.

He did buy us some canny players though that were the spine of the team for a good few years. true. I'm still mentally scarred with the names of Franck Dumas Stephane Guivarc'h. Not to mention the bizarre decisions to sign the ageing Stuart Pearce, John Barnes and Ian Rush. I thought Dumas was a Gullit signing at the same time as Goma and Marcelinho. As for Hottiger, I always liked him. Good player, pretty sure we made a profit on him too.

Shola started on the left wing in the league cup at Arsenal under FS. Never in all my life have I seen anything quite like it.

Rob Lee deciding that Newcastle was in fact closer to London than Middlesborough.

Shit game from those two as always.

Had a great season. Really like him as a player these days.

Fucking stunning from Essien.

Still at least one more goal to come.

He was phenomenal against ManU in the league.

Awesome from the Drog.

Of course we've got a god given right to beat them, are you an idiot or something?

I went earlier this season and it wasn't quite that bad for getting a bevvy. We had a few on the high street while making the trek from Seven Sisters with no problems. Immediately around the ground was different though, tried a few pubs but as soon as they heard our accents they wouldn't let us in. A doorman at one of them directed us to a pub about 5/10mins walk away though which was alright and had a good mix of home & away fans. Fucked if I can remember the name though Interesting. Every time I've been anywhere within any sort of range has had a "no home ticket, no entry" policy. I've got a southern accent as well, but haven't been able to blag it.

You what? The reason it worked so well last season was because we had pace up there too. Biggest reason it worked last season was just Owen being able to find space. He saved us with his movement not martins with his pace most of the time. If Martins is out injured, im saying it wouldnt be that bad. Carroll will be useful, Shola will be pulling a defender away & owen will get space. why dont you just shove your cock up his arse when he's not looking? Owen has 1 goal in his last 13 now yet you still talk about him as if he's the man to save us, absolutely pathetic A pathetic comment to be honest. If we had any creativity in midfield that could supply chances for Owen I'm confident he would score the goals we need. The crux of the problem is our midfield is shite, not Owen! What's the point in playing him if he needs a supply line we can't provide?

He always saves his worst for us it seems. Got a great ovation from our lot at WHL last year when his name was read out... and fully lived up to billing

Loudest set of fans I've seen this season. Yeah they were loud like, when it came to being nasty abusive pricks anyway. I heard very little support of their own team though. They sang a fair few songs supporting during the game. Booing of opposition players when they have the ball was pretty intimidating and an impressive noise. I thought that both sets of fans were good throughout the game, we were as loud as f*** when we got playing for the last half hour mind. I was genuinely knackered after the goal celebrations If they stay up I could see them being like Wigan with support dwindling, last year their average attendance was half filling the ground. They were saying it was a 'record sale' yesterday, is that the first full house they've had?
