No, but not many others were. Vidic and Gerrard seem to be almost opposites. One has been superb all season bar one game against Liverpool, whereas the other has been only OK by his standards for the majority of the season but has come [very] good at the end.
-
Was Gerrard really that good before the last 2 months though?
-
He wasn't marking anyone that night, he was giving their left back a right royal raping. Good player, unplayable on his day - far too few of those days though.
-
Johnny Evans would be a good shout, not sure if he's played enough though. Would be great to see someone from here get an award like that. Bellamy and Jenas have both won it whilst at Newcastle iirc, would be good to see Bassong pick it up. I don't think Evans has played enough really. Don't think of him as part of the team (through no fault of his own.)
-
What about young player of the year? I'd have thought Bassong should be in with a shout, no-one immediately springs to mind (not sure if Rooney/Ronaldo count still). Gabby A until a couple of months ago was excellent, possibly one of the youngsters from Everton (Gosling, Rodwell). Denilson? Jagielka deserves a nomination in player of the year at the very least.

Vidic or Gerrard, depending on who wins the league. Almost certainly Vidic then.

Am I right in thinking that Nolan and R. Taylor would have to stay (until Jan at least) due to the 3 clubs in a year rule?
-
I've said that a few times. A little hint: people don't always mean what they say. What would you get out of finding it anyway? huh dude? what did they mean then when the argued with me line by line that we would beat spurs? i stand by what i write, even when i'm pissed and writing shite...surely everyone should do that or retract? (as i do when i'm sober) Sometimes people post things with their tongue in their cheek.

vibrating flag you work it out. Shook so much in her hands she looked nervous and incompetant and got fired?

What happened to Wendy Toms?

Also, whilst it's far from his best position, I'd definitely have Beye in at centre back with Ryan Taylor in at right back (assuming the two injuries stay as they are) for this game. I'd hate to see Edgar or Cacapa trying to deal with the Drog.
-
Exactly the same as last season. Seems likely.
-
Is that because you know who actually was thrown out, or just that it wasn't SuperMac?
-
Done rather good, generally speaking, Aye, on average good. One poor season, and one brilliant season so far. Wasn't he still Barca's top scorer in all comps last season?
-
I don't think he'd even be able to read it (maybe it'd be a decent size font on billytray.....sorry mate ). Decent article mind.
-
I hate to see players getting injured whoever they play for, but somethings eating away at me, in the back of my head that's saying...would it really be so bad if Crouch picked up something of a knock for England?
-
Think he went on loan with a view to permanent in jan.

We've won 4 home games all season. What makes you think we can suddenly win 3 in a row? Even if we did, it now looks like we need to still get points elsewhere, which frankly we don't have the balls for. No-one said life was easy. No-one ever said it would be so hard.
-
Dave, we're missing an apostrophe. Standards are dropping.
-
Was it because it was taken quickly or because it was taken miles away from where the offence was committed? Definitely a second yellow, utterly deserved. I thought it was the latter personally That's what it looked like to me, thought I may have got it wrong though.

Two words - Leeds United, it could happen to us. No it couldn't. Leeds didn't own their most saleable assets. NUFC does. It barely matters for some clubs mind. Real Madrid were hundreds of millions of pounds in debt. No worries, sold their training ground back to the govt for £200m, given a new one for free. (disclaimer: this is my memory. may not be exact).
