  1. Going on this season alone, they are the only ones I can think of, with enrique possibly as his form in second have of season has been good just blighted with bloody injuries. Would like to say some others but dont think they have done enough. I was unsure about Enrique. I think he's quality, but I don't think anyone else would pay £6m for him. Dunno where that leaves his value.
  2. Don't know what we paid for him so I couldn't include him. I also didn't count players we didn't pay for on purpose toonlass, you cheeky minx.
  3. Who are worth what we paid for them (or more). In alphabetical order; Bassong, Beye.
  4. I thought it was a fantastic atmosphere, as did the Swedish commentator. He kept going on about what a fantastic atmosphere it was. Loved us booing their players when they had the ball, really did seem to rally our players to close them down quicker and with more energy. Stoke did that a couple of weeks ago. It makes the opposition look less calm on the ball, although we're so rarely calm on the ball I may just have been reading too much into it.
  5. People are forgetting Viduka missed as good a chance at the beginning of the 2nd half. Was a bad miss, but Owen's chance was far easier.
  6. Okay that has cheered me up a little. Ahh right so it wasn't Keegan that kept us up when Fat Sam had us in the shit and gave us a half decent start this season. Go support Chelsea next season which i'm sure you probably will. Pathetic oh im sorry mr uber supporter i cant have a view now can i...ive been following this team for 30 fucking years and for what false dawn after false fucking dawn and let down after let down so go take your KEVIN FUCKING KEEGAN loving head and stick it up your arse oh and shove fucking ELMO up there while you are at it Fecking mackems.
  7. I almost think it's worth getting banned to properly respond to that. I really hope you bump into JJS on your way home.

    Been waiting for you.
  9. Ipswich have put in a £3m bid for Chopra.
  10. Surely they will have kept hold of his registration meaning a club that wants to sign him will still have to pay them? a la Chelsea with Mutu?
  11. Haven't seen it for a couple of days, but it was a clear dive, contact or not.
  12. Kings X is a grim area but you should be alright to find somewhere to watch the game. It'll be easy to find a prossie too, if that's the sort of thing that you might be in to.
  13. I reckon fewer than that would not renew. It's easy to say it now, but when push comes to shove (as with alreetlike above) it's ultimately very hard to walk away from.
  14. Couldn't agree more, on both counts.

    Financial meltdown?

It's hard to pick between swapping all of our European nights for winning a cup. Being in Europe for a number of years implies that you're regularly watching a very good team playing exciting football and winning a lot of games. Winning a cup could be a complete fluke - look at Pompey - and as fantastic as it would be might be the one glimmer of light in amongst the garbage. I don't think it's as simple as saying 'I'd swap all the nights in Europe for one cup' - hence me (somewhat facetiously, granted) asking if you'd swap the last 18 years with Sheff Weds etc. It's more heavily layered, and involves the bigger picture of what's happening at the club. Goes without saying it'd be beyond amazing if we won something btw.
  17. I think it was more the high profile he had, and the fact the manager didn't seem to know why he was there that was the problem. I was and am far from sure about Milne's role, but so long as the manager knows what's going on, why they're there and most importantly wants them there then there shouldn't be an issue. This is really the crux of the issue. If the guy's name wasn't Dennis Wise honestly nobody would have cared about him. I don't know about that exactly, it's more the high profile he's been afforded at the club than anything, although the fact he was reasonably notorious as an unliked player and known by all exacabated this without a doubt. I'm pretty sure I made a stunning and inciteful post about his role in the last thread about him, but you philistines all ignored it. And now I've forgotten what I said. Sphinx should help you then. I'm not searching for it. It'll be like Joey Barton coming back, I've built it up way too much now.
  18. What is it that really caused their financial strife? Was it just the new stadium or were / are their wages still unsustainable in that leage? Got a fair old slice of cash out of the Walcott and Bale sales.
