  1. TBH I'm finding Nicky Butt pretty intolerable as well.
  2. He does have history of taking a job in such a circumstance is all I was implying...

Which is fair enough. The problem comes when you're escalating debt and nowhere near competing. Take it up with him. But I had so much planned for today. You're such a tease Parky.

  5. Absolutely. Thanks for trying, now please sell it to someone who can take us forward. That's the best legacy you can leave here now.
  6. So missing the point I'm probably wasting my time replying, but the Arsenal model is the only way to go and it would take time. He's been pushed out by a press-fueled collection of mongs who need everything done tomorrow. As I've said though there's nothing wrong with this sort of strategy, however it should be the manager who has the final say on all things football related. Which clearly wasn't the case. I agree, and this was where he fucked up. As someone said earlier, it looks like he was trying to apply his business principles to the club, thinking it would be perfect. It was far from, and by sticking with his plan he's realised he's burnt his bridges.
  7. Tbf, if he actually planned to put "only" 20 mil into the club every season, this was bound to happen sooner or later. £20m of his own money is significantly more than any owner in the past has been prepared to put in.
  8. The statement is quite interesting and supports what I've thought about him all along I reckon, he's got his ideas and plans and believes in them, but with his idealism comes naiveity which has ultimately led to his downfall imo.
  9. Is the truth that we didnt really want Him out especially. Is if fair to say if this statement had said "Wise and Llambias Out - being replaced by 2 people subject to joint interviews with Ashley and Keegan", then most people would have been happy to still have him a the helm. I think I would. Maybe. But then why let it get this far? I think he knows how much he's fucked up, and this is his way of admitting it. Don't think it's cowardly in the slightest.
  10. A case of the grass is not greener on the other side? Imo, he has the best interests of the club at heart. Simply inexperienced. I agree. I think he was a naive idealist, who's fucked up, knows it, and can't see any way back.
  11. Just fuck off man. Its what you wanted, you've got it, now just be happy you've got what you wanted and stop attacking the man at every fucking opportunity. Toys went out of the pram a few days ago.
  12. Game of the day on 5live Excellent news, cheers mate. The missus will be absolutely furious. You can also watch Sky Sports Soccer Saturday online from 3pm-5pm via Sky.com. I like you even more than the bloke who told me we were on the radio.

  14. Does anyone know if we're going to be the commentary game on either 5 live or sports extra?
  15. emotionally? Wasn't it something daft like £5m? I imagine it'd be loads more for Ince. I'm pretty sure it was £1m. Ince would cost shitloads, and not be worth it.
  16. Although he was poor in his final season for us, it's pretty much amazing just how shit he's been ever since he left.
  17. Yeah, definitely. Silvestre's a better left back than him, but I'd much rather have O'Shea in the squad. He's not ManU standard but he'd do a very good job for a team lower in the league. I think his main flaw is that he doesn't know his best position. Certainly doesn't make anywhere near as many mistakes as Silvestre. What would be the thinking behind you bringing Silvestre in? Loaning out Traore?
  18. He's much better than Silvestre!
  19. About how I feel about him. I've always thought it was a shame that Shola's shit, more so than almost any other player I can think of.
  20. I don't believe you, it's a perfectly cromulant word. A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man! It was a joke specifically targeted at you!
  21. I don't believe you, it's a perfectly cromulant word.
  22. He isn't, like. Only Rio is better than him. Also, Capello seems to have indicated that Lampard and Gerrard probably won't be starting together too much.
  23. The main thing I learnt on Sunday: We aren't afraid of anyone anymore. It could be an exciting season.
