No from me. We played shite boring football last night, and our only asset was effort really. Similar to if Scotty Parker was an entire team - admirable but uninspiring, unexciting and just not good enough.

Could have been worse, I guess. Wouldn't mind him getting as much practice alongside whoever he'll be playing with this season as possible though.

Anyone think that after getting knocked back by Bent there's a chance West Ham will match this price? Certainly a possibility imo.

Taylor is a decent defender who could become very good with the right partners, coaching etc. He's the best we've got at the moment, and combining that with the fact that he's come through the ranks and has a huge amount of passion on the pitch is always going to lead to over-rating. As someone said, that's no reason to start declaring him shit.

Slightly strange one as a rivalry I always thought, takes about 20-30 mins to drive so they really aren't that close and (whilst I realise they haven't played each other much of late) there is another team in Nottingham.

I said Lescott because he turns in a top class performance every week. Arteta isn't as consistent. Lescott got Players' Player of the Season btw. Interesting that. I think Lescott is very good, but it surprises me that he gets played out of position so much if he's that good - surely if he's your best player you'd base the defence around him? Have rated Arteta for some time now, he may not be that consistent but he is a very, very talented player.

I live in scunthorpe and we went to the Forest vs scunny game last season when we won 4-0 and the attendance was just under 30,000 I was at that game with the students for a quid deal. They generally average around 20-28k I think which is fairly decent for a team where they are, but it isn't that large a city when you discount the student population. Would be surprised if they could fill a stadium like this with any sort of consistency.

Charlton are one of the best teams for cheap prices, even if you discard their free season ticket offer for next season if they come back up. Pretty sure they had £99 kids season tickets last year as well. Still, I guess it's easy to offer up cheap tickets if you're not selling out......... (not a dig at anyone..)

He's an excellent centre back in my opinion, and could cover right back effectively enough. Would be a good signing I reckon.
