  1. He can't afford it. He'd have to borrow. The club would then be lumbered with paying off the debt. That combined with his proven ineptitude in various areas would condemn us to mid-table mediocrity (at best) for a generation. So, the same as now, then? Basically, yeah, but with even less possibility of anything changing.

SJH obviously just wants to cash in his chips, but FFS has so far blocked his attempts to do so and is clearly trying to drive down the price. So far SJH hasn't accepted that, but he may conclude he has no choice but to sell to Shepherd.

  4. I can't believe we're discussing all these foreign johnnies when a Great British Manager like Mike Newell is available.
  5. No, no! FFS obviously has only the best interests of the club at heart. He will dig deep into his own personal fortune and buy us England players so we will be sure to qualify for the Intertoto in 2009!!
  6. It's more that he's hampered in his ambition to buy out all the shares on the cheap.
  7. This is bollocks. Two such signings in ten years is "big signings arriving on a regular basis"? i think he meant big money signings like Robert, Luque (eh? don't start), boumsong, viana, marcelino, woodgate, duncan ferg, dyer etc all above 5 million pounds Well, if he meant all these other players, why did he specify by saying "namely superstar captures like Shearer and Owen"?

  9. Well, at least we won't have to worry about European football next season.
  10. Am i the only one who hates it with a passion? I hate it too.
  11. Bizarre opinion based on nothing. no i'm sure he would prefer manchester to the king's road, you're right Learn to read, Brainiac. My prediction was, if he's going anywhere, it would be Chelsea. Now explain why he wouldn't be interested in that job.
  12. Straight choice between Eriksson and Roeder, I'd take Eriksson any day.

    Pre-season

I suppose he wants some credit for the effort involved in typing out the same old crap over and over again.

    My thoughts exactly.
  15. If he's going anywhere in the Premiership, it'll be Chelsea.
  16. It would be fantastic to get van Gaal. He's very much used to having things all his own way, however. As with most top managers, it's hard to imagine him wanting to work for the Fat Fuck.
  17. Much as it's heartwarming to see West Ham suffer so much misfortune, it would have been really good for us if Tottenham hadn't won today.
  18. Buck up, lads. I'm sure that if we put in a few more solid performances we can nail that all-important 11th place!
