Chelsea need to start playing lots of slow passes along the ground to make it an issue

I reckon its 5 minutes before ref does a check on the pitch and give the groundsmen an opportunity to do something (not there is anything they could tonight)

Blackburns game did earlier once the ball stopped rolling and its starting to happen here

Great point, as a squad we’ve had 7 pretty ridiculous fixtures for newcomers at this level. Hopefully it’ll help the squad get over the imposter syndrome I believe the team are suffering from. They are more than good enough to compete and win regularly at this level but they’ve been dealt some pretty shitty hands so far.

Would love to know who pushed for his signing. Feels like an opportunist or price dictated signing rather than a player who would fit into our system. His statistical output may be good but (imo) we are always a weaker team with him in the lineup.

He player through most of the summer though. We 100% need to manage his minutes

Increasingly looking like a player playing for himself not the team. Some of his decisions tonight were a concern and not akin to team patterns of play. Likewise his decision to stick on on Van Dijk. I’m probably influenced by his summer interview about his head being turned though. But once a player admits their head can be turned then it’s an issue as far as being a team player is concerned…

Im almost 100% sure it was tactical

Big worry for me tonight is the lads looked liked they continued to have imposter syndrome when they went behind. Saw it many times last campaign where they were in the game until they went behind then they started thinking about the profile of the team they were playing. Something they need to get over fast.
