Yeah I'm with you on this. I can understand people taking a break from NUFC until Pardew is gone if it's just going to be more of the same as this season. I considered it myself during the season and probably will next season too, but I just can't take myself away come match day. However when I was considering it I was asking myself why get involved with something when it just pisses me off and could ruin my day/weekend, why sit and waste two hours of your life watching terrible football and why allow yourself to become frustrated and pissed off due to the mistakes of someone else (Pardew). It's likely that we'll be served more of the same next season so I can totally see why people can't be bothered with it. I'll be watching and following same as usual though.

I'm worried about what Ben Arfa, Cabaye etc think of the owner's ambitions. I can't see players like that settling for mid table mediocrity, and rightly so.

Top 7. Minimum 7th. That would mean, imo, we were taking on other teams and trying to beat them, rather than attempting to stop them from scoring, which appears Pardew's main objective. 7th? Dunno like, that could mean dreaded Europa League football and a relegation battle in 14/15.

We've got a manager in charge who absolutely hates the Europa League and doesn't want us anywhere near it. So why aim for the European places? Why win a cup as well if it just cripples us the season afterwards? The man is embarrassingly bad and we're stuck with him for years to come if the thread title is anything to go by. I just hope we're still in the Premier League with a decent squad when him and Ashley finally fuck off.

It's going to be fucking devastating when we lose that first game because of this man and the realisation sinks in that he's here for another season at least.

Well that new season buzz is going to be well and truly killed knowing this joker is in charge. It's so typical of us to finally have a good squad of players but to also have an incompetent manager who will seriously underachieve with them. I just hope and pray some of our better players are still at the club when Pardew eventually leaves.

Still a club legend imo. I can't really blame him for leaving, no matter how pissed off I was at the time. The club was on an obvious decline and had Joe fucking Kinnear as manager. Given was at a stage in his career when he had just about one last chance to achieve something and he took the gamble, to a club that was clearly on the road to winning silverware too. I find it ridiculous how so many hold Given's departure against him yet have a lot of time for other players who left us, all of which didn't give a fraction of what Given gave to this club. I definitely wouldn't take him back, not unless we were stuck and he was on about 10k a week. But to hate the guy after everything he gave to us is very harsh imo.

He'll be coming out with the same old nonsense man. Promising fans that we'll be aiming to replicate our 5th place finish next season, and some fans will believe it too. He'll probably insult us again by being glad we aren't in Europe next year too.

There's no point in looking at anything in particular, he's just useless all round.

5th to 16th and he'll be here next season, you just know it. You also know if we finish 15th next year Pardew will see it as an improvement and a successful season.
