  1. England NEED Nolan here.
  2. Looking forward to seeing what hes like with some world class players around him.
  3. You only have to look at the headlines and what Capello has been saying to see that Carroll is the future for England regardless if he plays tonight or not. As much as I want to see him play tonight, Newcastle comes first. If there are ANY doubts, he shouldnt be playing.
  4. Couldnt care less about our game tonight. Might rub it into Kaizero if we win like but thats about it. More concerned with how Carroll gets on. If it was a competitive match it would be a different story of course.
  5. Fuck sake he will probably break down during the game and be out for about 6 weeks knowing our luck. If he was doubtful but yet still plays, im guessing this means he needs a break at the weekend?
  6. Pedantic post Dave, but why do you spell "crack" "craic" ? Crack has been a Geordie expression for as long as anyone knows and long, long before the Irish hijacked it and it became trendy to spell it "craic". Trendy? I'm pretty sure its spelt craic because that is how you spell crack in Gaeilge Good answer Decky. Around here "it's good crack" and "what's the crack ?" have always been common expressions, but recently, when written, a lot of people use "craic" In reply to your later "English stole our land" remark - we wouldn't have to nowadays - we'd just buy it at a very knock down price Hope the Germans don't impose too many of their words on the Irish after they bail out the economy later this week. Hopefully they will impose their beer over here
  7. England stole our land, so we took your word, crack. Seems fair enough to me

  9. I think Chris is doing a fantastic job. It was never going to be easy for us coming back into the Premier League. We lost most of our "star" players when we went down and had to rely on the likes of Ameobi who no one rated and Carroll who is still a young player. If anyone had looked at our starting 11 now 2 years ago, they would have had us finishing 20th with the lowest points in Premier League history. Yet we stormed our way through the Championship and to 8th place in the Premier League. You only have to look in the Bolton thread to see the state of our squad. 4 players out from when we beat Sunderland, and we are relying on the likes of Ranger up front on his own. I think Chris and the team are still trying to find their way in this league, we are going into games not knowing what to expect. We have had a few fantastic away wins and absolutely destroyed the likes of Sunderland and Villa at home, which is by no means easy to do against anyone in the Premier League. This proves that there is quality there both on and off the field. I think it will just take a while for everything to click, and of course we need more players. I have no doubt we will stay up this season, absolutely none at all. Right now we are dropping points at home and picking them up elseware, this is something I am more than happy with if it ultimately means we stay up. I mean we have roughly half the points we need having played just a third of the games. Im sure Hughton knows about our home form more than anyone and I trust him and the team to sort it out.
  10. If the mackems win all they will care about is the fact that they are above us. They will probably go on about how its a better result than our 1-0 win at Arsenal as well
  11. Awful news if hes out for a bit. Sums up our great need for a new striker though that we are relying so much on one 21 year old.
  12. I can see us drawing or even beating a side like Liverpool or City on the day. Plus we have 3 away games that with our current away form we have every chance of winning. 13 games in I would have took 18 points without question, we still have twice as many points as 19th and 20th with makes it better for us if we only have to finish ahead of 1 more team. I hope the home games dont come back to bite us in the arse but tbh I dont think they will, we'll be alright.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Really missing him. He is exactly the kind of player we needed to score today.
  14. Mike has a disturbingly serious piss drinking fetish man.
  15. Wish Guthrie wouldnt cut in and give another ex player of ours acres of space man.

  17. Have Fulham not won away from home in the Premier League in 15 months or something? Think I heard something like that on MOTD there.
  18. A boring 0-0 is the first (and longest) game on MOTD?
  19. Something needs to be done about our home form. Its all good winning away from home now, but that kind of form away surely wont last the season. We will rely on home results at some stage.
