Our players seem to love this derby, they seem really up to it and both games this season are proof of that. I honestly cant see us losing another derby for a couple of seasons if we keep this squad together. It's fucking great having a team that cares after years of having one that didn't. Really looking forward to the next Tyne Wear derby at SJP. With HBA, Tiote etc back in the side it could really be similar to the 5-1.

I think he has more league goals as well now. Nolan > Bent.

I dont think we will win this. Bale, Modric and VDV are all a class above. Our weakened team can play well against shite like West Ham, Wigan and Sunderland, but against a decent midfield we wont win. 0-2 Tottenham.

Lads dont be so negative. Sunderland will have a better attack than us on Sunday fair enough, but how many times has not just a better, but a vastly superior Newcastle played them? The last 3 huge wins in this derby happened in 2010, 2006 and something crazy like 1955 (all Newcastle wins as well). The derby is a completely different game to all the others in the season, on paper they look like they have enough to win the game, but we have seen time and time again this season that that counts for nothing. Look at their record at Wearside in the derby as well, it is absolutely awful. All this talk of us getting trashed is crazy! We should be going into this game hoping for a draw with the outside chance of a win. A couple of days ago I had us down for a defeat but now I just cant do it. There is absolutely nothing to suggest they are going to destroy us on Sunday. Yes we are missing Carroll and Tiote, but we didnt have Tiote when we destroyed Villa and we didnt have Carroll in our last 2 wins. They will be missed, but just because they arnt playing doesnt mean we are guaranteed to be mauled. Also all this talk about revenge is no reason to fear them either, if anything it is an advantage as huge pressure is on them. If the team keeps their shape and stays calm we can keep them out, and the longer we do that the more frustrated and nervous Sunderland get. Its all to play for in my opinion. We're the underdogs for sure, but I think we can get something.

If there is any trouble Bruce has to be held accountable for his share of it. He is stirring the shit something awful, which is shameful for a man in his position. He has basically admitted he is going to try and make it hell for the fans at the game should NUFC lose. How can this be acceptable?

I don't know why you'd think that? Surely the idea of Tiote on the bench last week was because he thought he could do a job, and the fact he felt he had to bring him off because he was shite against a League Two side suggests he doesn't fancy him. The other players i.e. Nolan and Barton were more likely to get a goal than Smith tbf. I just think managers still rate Smith, I mean we have seen it time and time again since he came here. It wouldnt surprise me in the slightest if Pardew sees Smith as a direct replacement for Tiote, rather than reshaping the midfield moving Barton etc. I guess we will see on Sunday, I hope to fuck im wrong and he doesnt start.

Lads, Pardew is going to start him, its nailed on. Theres no point in even hoping to see a starting 11 without him.
