done as much as smith who no-one seems to have a problem with. Butt has done more in his time here for me to resent him lifting our first silverware in 17 years. I would honestly rather Nolan lifted it.
-
Absolutely no chance Butt will let someone else do it, hes a cunt, he will lift the title knowing he did fuck all to earn it.

Sure even if we dont im sure we will see the pics from last night's unveiling soon enough.

Yeah but surely if he captained us to promotion, he would need to have actually played an important role on and off the field all season? Id be surprised if he had any influence at all tbh.

No Butts on North End Preston North End boss Darren Ferguson has ruled out a summer raid for Nicky Butt, the former Manchester United midfielder. The PNE manager has flattened growing speculation that Butt, who played a key role in Newcastle United's Championship title season, could link up with his old mate at Deepdale. "I know Nicky very well, and he's out of contract soon," said Ferguson. "He would certainly be a very good addition to the squad, I can't say he wouldn't, he'd bring magnificent experience to Preston. "Nicky has won four Premier League titles, but it is not something that is on the radar at the moment." Ferguson has already identified his transfer targets for next term, and as North End prepare to wrap up their home programme against Leicester City tomorrow, he said: "I've got targets, a certain amount of players for different positions, and I'll be working very hard to see if we can get things done. "I've had a couple of good chats with the chairman and the board of directors recently. "We've bounced a few things off each other and we've all got a pretty good idea where we want to go. "We'll have to be patient, though, I don't think there will be massive changes before July, but it could get a lot busier after that." Ferguson, in charge since January, has seen North End win just once since the 3-2 defeat of Nottingham Forest five weeks ago. "We've not got as many points as I'd have hoped for, but I can see progress and the fans do see what we are trying to do. "It has been a long, hard season, and the experience I've had since coming to Deepdale is totally different to my first couple of years as manager at Peterborough." http://www.lep.co.uk/pnenews/No-Butts-on-North-End.6248586.jp

Only hearing about us apparently talking to Hutton now, would be a decent signing.

Give it a f***ing rest, man. I definitely agree it's not an ideal situation having the man as captain, but that's how things are. If the club didn't want things this way, they should have acted to give it to someone else when it became clear that Butt was no longer a serious part of our playing staff. However, I think it would be classless to not allow him to lift the trophy, when it is the club themselves who have made this situation. Acted when it was clear he was no longer a serious part of our playing staff? You mean like when he was dropped?
-
Wise up will you, he hardly earned it. Someone like Nolan should be lifting it. Someone who was a key figure throughout the campaign.
-
Shaking with rage? But right enough, he has no right to lift it, certainly not before about 12 players.
-
It will be a fucking farce if Nicky Butt lifts it, tbh.

Going for Argentina, solely because we have a player or 2 playing for them

This is the lass: http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2010/04/21/article-1267805-093B7B67000005DC-599_233x423.jpg http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2010/04/21/article-0-093B7CE7000005DC-106_468x357.jpg tbh, if I saw thon in a club, I woudnt exactly question her age, would you?
-
I know people dont want him, but I wouldnt mind Robbie Keane tbh. He is still the kind of player who can score plenty of goals and I would rate him above Shola and Carroll* at Premier League level. If we could get him for about £7 million or so then I would go for him, are there really many more proven Premier League strikers who are that good for that price? I wouldnt pay much more than that mind if our budget is around the £20 million mark. *certainly at the moment anyway, would love to be proved wrong next season.

Might be worth adding an ole mug or something to your basket when you are getting the new home kit.

Newcastle United Vs Ipswich Town Pre Match Thread - 24/04/10 - 3pm KO
Decky replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
Ive said 8-0 a few times this year, so ill say it again.... 8-0. Right enough though, if we go 2 up we could easily destroy this lot. -
Are we expecting to see this tomorrow then? If it is revealed then hopefully the lads will wear it on Saturday.

Still a few things to play for. - Unbeaten home record (first time in 108 years?) - 100 points (104 would be nice) - Away win on the last day (first time since 1993?) - Top goal scorer in the League (sure why not?) The home record is the main one for me, the rest I wouldnt be bothered about but it would be very nice to get them too
