To be fair the record is only that bad because for almost the entirety of those 50 years they've been a better team than us. We're only starting to look better than them now. I also think the atmosphere will be toxic or at best apathetic if they lose to Arsenal this weekend. The fans will be sick to death of the state of affairs on the pitch and most will know Ten Hag is probably moving on as well. They've only two wins in their last ten games, I could see them losing all 3 of their remaining games at this rate.

Brighton is a massive game with Man Utd playing Arsenal. A win for us and defeat for Man Utd will mean we just need one more point for 7th which is likely to be Conference League. If we win and Forest beat Chelsea as well we're in dreamland, just one point needed for 6th.

The problem I have with the rules is they don't do anything at all to help make the league more competitive, even though they keep telling us they do. Any rules that are tied to income keep the top clubs at the top and promoted clubs fighting relegation, every single season. The whole thing needs to be scrapped and if they insist on implementing rules then do it with genuine fairness so everyone can compete if they want. I'm not saying all 20 clubs have a shot at winning the title but if teams like us and Villa have ambitions to do it then the path should be clear without the Premier League putting obstacles in our way.

More rules to just complicate the game further. This rule runs alongside this other rule but if you finish high enough in the league you'll be in another competition so those two previous rules have to then run alongside these other rules that you have now also have to follow. It must be an absolute mind fuck running a football club these days. Go back to the days of letting clubs just spend what they want or change the rules to allow owners to invest their own money into the club but protect it from crippling debts. Were clubs going out of business left right and centre before these rules? I don't think they were. Most people who own a club want a return on their investment, not run the thing into the ground and lose millions.

Man Utd have only one win in their last six and have four tough fixtures left. We'll have had a bad end to the season if we don't go on to finish above them from here.

Not confident at all after Palace and Fulham. I know we beat Fulham but the performance was terrible. There's a good chance Man Utd could drop points away to Palace so it'd be a big 3 points if we can get the win.

I really don't know if anyone will pay £100m for him. But if this deal is to happen then its good for us to happen this way because it wraps it up early and we can either use the money for the transfer window, or we can go into the window knowing he'll be in our squad next season.
