Could really do with a win against these on Sunday. Only four points behind us if they hold on here.
-
Aye I booked it there. Plane will be full if we beat Southampton. Blame me if we lose now for that jinx.
-
Aye there's only one flight out of Dublin that morning and its £30 return now. Kinda thinking half the Newcastle fans in Ireland will be trying to get over if we make the final so dunno if I should just jump now for the sake of £30. I hate the thought of doing this before we've played the semi final though.
-
Wish they'd hurry up with the semi final dates too because I need to book that as well.
-
Was thinking that myself. London will be class with the fans but most of them are heading to Wembley while I'm in a pub with a load of people having a normal Sunday. May as well just stay in Ireland at that rate. Gonna go to Newcastle. Think I'll just go on the Sunday and not the whole weekend though. Just fucking beat Southampton and make it happen lads.
-
I'm still debating whether to go to Newcastle or London, its hard to decide like. Need to obviously get past Southampton first but because its only next month you kinda want to look at hotels and that soon. Free cancellations and pay on arrival obviously incase we lose the semi.
-
I booked Newcastle for the final weekend if it happens. No doubt if we beat Southampton hotel prices will go up big time because fans will be coming in from all over.

I never understand how rich people drink drive. You could literally pay a driver to sit outside and wait for you all night and the cost of it means nothing to you.
-
Stupid cunt getting behind a wheel. I've no sympathy for anyone who does it. I never drink within the limit and drive or even drive hungover because I absolutely detest those who drive under the influence. Seen far too much death from it. With regards to his professionalism drinking the night before a training session or whatever, he may have only had the equivalent of a couple of pints. Big difference in that and being pissed drunk so lets wait and see what the story was.

When do we find out dates? I’m gonna go over for the second leg.
-
I hope we get Man Utd fuck it. We shouldn’t fear anyone and I think we’ll win over the two legs. Imagine going into the final against Southampton or Forest.

Boys, I’m sitting in the pub here. Could almost cry and it’s just into the semis. I’m dreaming of being in Newcastle for the final. I’m 34 and I’ve spent 20 years, most of which have been on this forum, dreaming of being in Newcastle for a final and we’re nearly there. But regardless of what’s happens it’s clear we’re going to be down this road a lot going forward and our day of glory is on the way. What a time to support this club and well deserved after everything we’ve been through. Enjoy tonight lads, bring on the semis and if we make the final we’re having a NO meet up!

Also interested in a nearly 37 Edin Dzeko according to the press.
-
Same. He's gonna be brilliant for us this lad.

Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)

We'll see him popping up on Sky a lot now. -
What's it like buying tickets as a member these days? Shitshow is it?

Gonna be raging if West Ham are on a new manager bounce for when we play them in a month.

I'd say Liverpool. Man Utd fans wouldn't be happy either but I think there's more of an opinion that Ten Hag is building something and its not necessarily about this season, more of a long term thing. Liverpool fans though seem to think they're God's gift to football and they're better than everyone. They'd be horrified at not having Champions League football next year. Klopp is already laying down the excuses for it with his bollocks about not being able to compete with oil rich clubs.
-
I think the second half of the season is more favourable, especially if we make some decent signings. But I'm just saying that looking at the graphic on the previous page there is also an argument to be made that our toughest tests are yet to come.
-
They are more likely but by the same logic away games are more likely to bring negative results and for the rest of the season, for the most part, we've the easier teams on paper away from home and the tougher teams at home so the second half of the season could be seen as harder than the first half in that regard. For whats its worth I think we'll beat Man Utd, Liverpool and Spurs at home but they'll definitely give us more of a game than Forest and the like.
-
Is it? 6 of the 10 home games are teams in the top 8 so its a harder set of home games than the first half of the season, just facts really.
-
Another way to look at it is that our home games are more difficult for the rest of the season. Most of the teams we should be beating are away games.

Tindall deserves a lot of credit too by the way. There was a class moment when Arsenal had a throw in and Tindall threw the ball away. A couple of Arsenal fans beside me in the pub went mad demanding to know who he was.
