Would love to see him with a proper technical creative link between him and CM. Someone able to exploit space between the opposition defence and midfield without Isak having to go too deep too often and be less isolated centrally. Not only that, but having this creative attacking midfielder would often also draw in one of the CB’s out of position leaving more space for Isak to run into. We would also have something different than just trying to take advantage from the wide positions. But to be able to “carry” a more offensive player we have to get better when it comes to possession overall. Having said that there are creative options out there that aren’t weak and slow as piss too, definitely. Finding the right balance is key. Isak would benefit sooo much from this. Unbelievable the potential is with him if he can stay fit and the system is built more around him than it is now.

Very difficult to get the top quality in January that we should aim to bring in. No point in bringing in players that won’t improve our first team. Unless it’s super talented young player with potential to become transformational in the next couple of years. Keep the powder dry and get the real deals done in the summer.

Well it would be quite the jump if he’s a regular next season. Considering that he hasn’t got any game time at all barely. Despite our crisis. Personally I’d rather see us go for a proper 1st choice LB for the money. He might prove to be class next season. Really hope so if we plan to spend 30m on him in the summer.

Hope we don’t have to sign him and spend that money if we don’t believe he is good enough to play a part this season.

The footballing ability of that “group” ain’t of very high quality overall though. There’s a reason we struggle without Bruno. Because he’s the only one with proper footballing quality on the ball. Tonali obviously has a high ceiling potentially, new to the league. So does Miley (still so young).

IF he leaves I’d be extremely sad and gutted, but he would go with my best wishes 100%. He came here when we were sinking and has been nothing but brilliant on and off the pitch. Love him! Im absolutely certain that he genuinely loves it here and is super happy in every way. Having said that… Take my Nufc emotions and bias away, if I was him I wouldn’t be looking to move away and go, and I don’t think he will. But if the right opportunity comes up I both think he will and should go for his own best (mostly career wise). As said I would be gutted but at the same i time I would see the positive opportunities it might also give us. As a single player he is irreplaceable no doubt. He very much is and I absolutely love him. I’m just not sure if we can evolve quickly enough to manage to keep hold of him. Even though he is our crown jewel would selling him help us overall as well? Would it give us the chance of getting an extra 4 50m players or similar instead? I’m just thinking hypothetically here. Also, was it Ashworth who said that we will likely sell one of our better players here and there to allow us to progress properly? Players that we won’t want to sell ideally.
