He is raw and not consistent. He won't be part of our squad next season (my guess)

If we didn't have Barnes already then i would try for Antonio Nusa. Unfortunately he is more of a leftie. Unsure about the right side. Would have wanted Neto but he is quite injury prone. Otherwise he would have been perfect. Still haunts me that Arda Guler went to RM Suffered a bad injury too unfortunately.

Cherki is extremely talented but has a bad attitude and is relatively lazy.

Thought he was good off the ball but not so much with the ball.

His touch was off at times but when it wasn't he was very good. Absolutely great run and the finish was just a beauty. Great to have him back.

Like his progressive passing. Will be a star once he fulfills his expected potential.

Hall and Tino have been class.

Don’t see too many complaints against Howe? All I see is some people saying that the team is much weaker than expected (kind of). No matter what I’m ok with it. I’m sure the attitude will be great and I think we will do well. Hoping to see many good performances and hopefully nick a result somehow. There should be quite many looking to prove that they want and deserve to be in the thoughts for the 1st team.

That’s a weak team. Weaker than expected.

For me personally a right sided attacker and CM was priority above all. Perhaps LB if it meant Targett leaving. Not sure how many windows it’s been without us signing a RW. We got Barnes but imo Gordon should stay left side because that is his best position. I also don’t see Barnes being a starting player in a top top side. Not good enough in general play to be one. Not necessarily a bad player. Effective in the right setup. For us to get to the next level we need players with next level technical ability and footballing IQ. Not that I’m unhappy with the signings we have made. I just would have prioritised differently.

I would agree if we didn’t sign Pope. No way will we do a keeper deal before a few other positions of much much higher priority.

Whatever we go for and whatever position. It has to be players with great technical ability and intelligence.

Even if Tino wouldn’t have made a big difference it might have given Tripps a well needed rest to be fresher for the coming games which might benefit him and us long term. As well as getting Tino som important minutes.

Personally I would have skipped signing Barnes and Hall and put that money towards a right sided attacker. I’m sure Hall will prove to be a good signing long term. Barnes is effective and has end product but I don’t see him as a starting key player in the future where we evolve and become a more possession based team. Once we get better we will naturally become a more possession based side and I don’t see Barnes as good enough in general play for a top top side. Not that I’m unhappy or think it’s a poor signing but it’s just not what I would have done. Hall is a loan for now though so it’s not quite as obvious financially I guess
